No need for a metal bracket ....

Take 2 of the TT thermal isolators and sandwich them together using JB Weld. Drill out the center until it is a sliding fit on the OS carb and then use JB Weld to secure it to the carb. Mount to the engine with a little gasket sealer. Works great.

Only awkward bit is that you need to use a 3mm grub screw and a nut/washer on the needle side of the carb, and you need to remove the fuel inlet while attaching the carb so that you can get at the nut. You can use a regular 3mm SHCS on the throttle side.
