I just set up a T-Rex 600 with the flybarless Align Head and electronics. I'm running a ICE 100 ESC in Gov Mode. My idle up 2 is set to 2000 rpm. I was flying some circuits in idle up 2 which were fine and then I did 2 loops and the tail went crazy on me and started wagging violently to where I had to throttle back down and switch back to normal at 1800 rpm and the wagging quit. I made sure the electronics are set to large heli and I'm running the align DS620 tail servo and I'm runing the latest firmware for the electronics. I have my limits set correctly on the gyro side. I have the gyro unit sitting on the top of heli behind the main shaft and I'm running 65% gyro gain in Idle up 2. I checked my settings tried again and the same thing. I'm flying with a DX8 and I have the telemetry unit which sends data on the batteries. Any ideas?

Sounds alot like gain too high. You are in the -100 +100 Gyro gain setting I assume.
In my experiance if the gain is too high the Gyro will shake the tail when doing fast flight, big loops or fast sidways flight like huricanes or funnels.
It also depends on the tail servo. Faster=higher gain. 620 is a bit slow, make sure you are running 6V to it. No step down.
EG my GY52O with a BLS254 is at 52% and my GY520 with a DS620 is at 30% and still gives a bit of a shake in fast decending loops.

If you are on the 0-100 Gain you are all ready pretty low and you need to look for a vibration or loose linkage in the tail control.

Tail Wag
Lowering the gain down around 35 did the trick and I still have head holding at that point.

Great.

Glad I could help.

If you ever decide to upgrade the speed on your tail servo you may be able to get more gain from your Gyro which should hold better in fast backward and sidways flight.
