I am nearing completion of my X50 build and just paired the muffler up to the engine. However, with the canopy on, the canopy rests against the muffler (with a little pressure). Is this ok or will it burn the canopy? If I need to, how can it be fixed? I can post a pic if needed.

BUILD UPDATE
The rest of the build is going good. Got all the servos hooked up except the rudder. Had to order a replacement servo as the new one came with a damaged cord. Haven't checked the pitch yet, but it looks like there is a good bit. I first hooked up the elevator with neutral pitch, installed the pitch and aileron pudhrods from the lever to the head, then leveled the swash (visually). From there, I put the pitch and aileron push/pull rods on. All lengths were very close to the book.

Next is mounting the electronics, then the gyro / rudder, adjusting pitch, then we will be ready for the maiden. The maiden will be a while as it is freezing temps right now. Will post pics of the build when done.

This will melt the canopy. You can trim the canopy away from the muffler. What engine and what muffler are you using?

I am using an os 55 hyper limited edition with the muffler that comes with the engine. Don't really want to trim the canopy, can I put something on the canopy to act like a spacer or put a spacer in between the engine and the muffler?
