6 Degree's question
Just installed the Beastx everything went real smooth, I am having a problem with the 6 degree setup.
I am only getting a red light once I hit my 6 degree mark ( Not the blue) If I continue to increase cyclic to 8 degrees, then I get my blue light. Is this close enough to fly?
I am trying to understand the theory. Is it that I have too much cylic throw thus throwing the resolution off or is it not enough cyclic throw?

Thanks for any input you can give

YEs you can fly like that. To fix move the balls on the servo horns in. (example: trex 700 has inner and outer holes on there horns I use the inner holes and I get the blue light at 6 deg.)

GOT FBL?

you can fly that way, but the microbeast flies better when setup for the 6 degrees and blue light on. just move the balls in another hole on the servo horns and you should get the blue light at 6 degrees.

I bought the quik uk wheels which are nice but there's only the one set of holes... So,if your saying to move them in, I must have too much throw....
I wonder if there is another trick that I could do so I don't have to Change the wheels?

Yeah, I may re-drill

Last thing I'm stuck on is the last step( Piro optimization) direction. They talk about rotating the heli on yaw axis, I did but don't quite understand what the swashplate is supposed to or not supposed to do????

Thanks men!

on the last step, you will notice the swash plate is tilted in one direction (either forward or backward, doesnt matter), lift the heli off the bench, hold by the head and spin the heli. you want the part that is low to stay the same direction when you spin it. best thing to do is on that step, where ever is low at, it needs to stay low during the rotation of the heli basically.

i wouldnt redrill new holes unless you have a drill jig to get them perfect. just go pick up a new set of the align plastic wheels for now that have the inner holes.

I left servo wheels as is, I was told it would still fly ok. I took it up and WOW ! How awesome!!!!
Sitting there doing flips continuously and the thing never yawed, rolled or anything. That was my first time flying anything flybarless. I Am hooked!!!
I was just flying the default sport mode. Tomorrow I will try pro or extreme.
I will change the geometry to get my 6 degrees correct next week.

nice, the microbeast is hard to beat i think at this point. its small, easy setup (can be done at the field with no computer or anything to make changes). i too was anti-fbl, but when i tried it, i too was hooked and had to start converting everything.

do you have it strapped down at all?

I don't , I used the single grey pad.
Should I?

One question, if made the wrong choice in the last step, which is piro. Optimization, I would of noticed that in flight right?

It may get very twitchy when doing piros on manouvers that has aileron and elevator involved.

if your using just the gray pad, strap it down, but not too snug. you want it to have just a little movement is all. i was told this at ircha by markus who was there for beastx/freakware

Easiest way with piro opt and method I came up with is as you enter setup and the swash dips imagine the helicopter is flying in that direction. Walk with the Heli In that direction and rotate, the swash should stay in the direction of travel you are walking.

If you get it wrong the model will fly out of manoevers.

It would show up with piro moves. If you flew a straight line for example then hit rudder rather than carrying on it will slow down. In the hover hit rudder it will tend to fly off if uncorrected.

A roll or flip wouldn't show it up.

Ok thanks, I did do some quick puris in hover and some high speed forward flights and jamming the rudder, all seemed ok.

Not to happy with the " sport Mode " rolls were kinda slow. I just changed it to " pro" and will try it today. Is Pro a big difference or should I go Extreme?

I use tx mode, start with 30% expo on ail/elev and 40% rudder, 80% afr/dual rate then just adjust from there in the tx.
