Has anyone seen one of these fly and if you did, what did you think.

Edit: Seems to me someone flew one at IRCHA back when it was in Columbus, OH.

I was at IRCHA (Hebron, Ohio , not Muncie) when the Japanese brought those models over here. They had the tuned perfectly. Really cool to watch flying.

I still have one in my collection. It sports an OS RZB .21 buggy racing engine. It's a very cool looking little(.30 sized with 550mm blades) heli.
The JR Ergo CCPM Racing! Very Cool indeed!

It ran a then unheard of 2200rpm back then which was scary as! Now we see T-Rex 550s and Logo 500s doing 2500rpm or more.

Would no longer be a match for the above mentioned electric helis.

There are a few pix and a write-up in the link I posted in the OP. Wished there was a youtube vid. They must have sounded like a Formula One racer.

Band1086,
Anyway you can fire it up and do a pass on video?

I've had the motor out of it for some time now, but have recently taken a lot more of an interest in vintage type helis than I've had before. So, I think I will put it back together, and maybe fly it a little. It actually flies pretty well from what I remember, but not a beginners heli...BTW right now I don't have a vid camera, but I'm thinking about getting a "Go Pro" hat cam, then maybe I can post a vid of it flying...it is pretty cool. Anyone know if the Go Pro works OK for that?
