Looking at the Hyperion HV servos for the Rave Env FB nitro due to they are a quite bit less expensive than other brands and they seem to get good reviews. But can't decide on which to go with. Choices are DH20-UTD or DH20-FTD, DH20-FCD and UCD. What torque values are required for the cyclic. Not going to be doing any 3D with heli just mainly sport flying. Appreciate any suggestions.

i've never heard anything about Hyperion servos. Why not just go with something that people can speak about, like trusty JR8717's, or Align DS610's? I'm running the 610's in my Rave and it flys very very well! very good price also.

i would take a 8717 or 8917 over a ds610 any day of the week. you can easily "feel the difference." pun intended.

i have 610's in my 600 and 700 and flying a friends 600 or another guys synergy n9 and jr vibe 90SG e12 you can totally feel the speed difference.

but for the fact that your not doing any 3d the Hyperion dh20-ftd but even then all of the Hyperion servo's lack sufficient torque to really do very well in a cyclic position. and any of those servo's on a FBL 90 would very likely burn out due to the lack of torque.

Who cares... its just money...

I use the DS610s on my Rave (also FBL) and they are very fast . They hold up very well for 3D flight IMO. That said, i do kinda have my eye on a set of HV's

for the bang for your buck the ds610 are your best bet.

i love the 610's i have but would trade them 8717 if i could.

i wouldn't try the hyperion servo's in an expensive heli like a rave. hk450 sure but thats about it
