No I am not. Not a hot dog 3D master either. Research, talking to more capable pilots, personal experience all go into ANY advice I give. I am sure I know a LOT more than you do about certain heli related things and I am sure you know more than I do in certain areas. In this case, I am sure I know more than you do since you do not "use" Kontronics

Once again, real classy jumping in only to insult and offer no real usable advice.

If your considering a CC 160, I just got the Lite Version and its huge...its about the size of 2 Jives. Looks like it could start my car.

One thing about Castle. Most in flight incidents Ive seen are user error...incorrect settings. The issue with castle is you can damage the ESC(and) if you don't know what your doing. Unfortunately our hobby has guys that think they know what they are doing...which leads to fiddling with setting that arnt understood and from there the magic smoke comes out.

Eric's Hobby Wing ESC does really well in flight. I saw him lay it down and I was pretty amazed to tell you the truth...darn thing was rock solid on 12s in his Compass 6HV.

Here is some info on eric's esc

Wow, don't flatter yourself Ron...

I assure you, Eric has probably forgotten more about helicopters than you could possibly know. Give him ONE flight on your Logo/V-BAR/Kontronik ESC, and he could assess far more on how your setup performs and how you could improve it than you ever could in 100 flights.

OICU812 No, but clown in such cases with say 160HV Castle, look at the size and weight, those are VERY huge escs in particular, will it even fit on the 500 heli???
its for upcoming trex 600 or 700.

My Posts This: Topic Forum For a Trex 500, go with a 60lv, for a 700 class bird on 12s, go with an 80+HV or 120+HV. If you want to go bigger than that, the PowerJazz is good up to 15s and is over 200A capable
thank you 120hv it is for the 700 i can use the 120hv on the 600 as well ?

Bypass the 600 Rex all together IMO. Go with the 700 a better choice just play safe with an electric that big is all.

I'll answer for Ron, yes it will, albeit it's a bit over kill.
Ron is knowledgeable, regardless of what some have said here. I think they were speaking more out of irritation than not. JMO.

well i have a raptor 60 i may convert to a 90 it would be chaeper to do that then to buy a 700e
and nitro id get more bang for the buck

700e might eat me alive 600 would be nicer on the pockets but if i find a 700e for the right price when im rdy who knows

600 Rex was a heavy design is all I'm saying. If u want a 6s machine that's Align their 550 with 550mm mains is a better choice IMO is all.
