I think Kontronik is a better ESC. I use the CC ice and have over 500 flights in all with them and have not had one problem. The thing I like the most about my CC ESC is the autorotation recovery aspect.

Absolutely. The Jazz is more robust, has a better governor, and is much easier to setup. I only fly Kontronik and they are worth every extra $$$$.......Ron

When I can get the job done with a CC ESC that costs less than half of what the comparable Kontronik model will set you back, it is really hard to justify the added cost. Kontronik does make some excellent ESC's, but you'll have a hard time convincing me that my CC ESC is holding back my machines, or my flying.

Do a search on both. None will replace your electronics. My expereance cost me around 500 dollars on 2nd flight. Went to Kontroniks will never look back

Nope.

Kontronic does not fry all your electronics when it fails.

It just stops working

If you have the money, then YES. If you don't, Castle will suit you fine enough.

As with everything, you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the obligatory response. With over 600 HARD 3D flights and counting between my two current Castle ESC's, I suppose the prospect of this actually happening still makes me nervous...

Funny, you flew my machines and ALWAYS commented on how well my ESC as well as my VBAR flew.
WC,
Do a search and you will find MANY catastrophic CC failures and very few failures of Kontronik ESCs. The bottom line it is better and anyone that says the CC is just as good has not flown a Kontronik or is just not telling the whole truth........Ron

Oops sorry.

The CC ESC will just go up in flames if your too quick to install a firmware update before its been fully tested.

I would still buy a CC over the Kontronic based on just the price. I am not sure If I would feel comfortable with it until many flights in though.

I recall telling you that your current Logo 600 needed work, and that your older(second?) Logo 600 flew very well. The he said, she said thing is getting kinda old Ron.

That said, both of those machines fly like crap compared to my X5 w/Microbeast.

It's no surprise both the gov and BEC on the Kontronik works MUCH better than it's Castle counterparts.

Whether or not these items justify the 100% increase in cost is something you will have to decide on your own.

Yes I have(with the Scorpion motor), just before you sold your other 600(with the X-ERA motor). You may want to stop while you're ahead Ron...
