After a foot and a half plus of snow ending on Monday, I took the snowblower to the field today to make my grass 'island'. Spent a half hour clearing my truck parking spot by the side of the runway and into the runway to my landing area. Then pulled the truck into the bare spot and gassed up my heli for a break and a flight. Cranked the music and listened to Kasha, Lady Gaga, M&M, etc and flew to the music, NICE!

In between flights fired up the snowblower again and made the 12 foot wide path I was landing in wider left and right 6 feet in each direction, so where I was landing and taking off was now a T. Gassed up old faithful and had another go with the music, I like that, gives you some beat to fly to

Fired up the snow blower again and went around the perimeter making everything 1 pass wider and then did a path around the picnic table and a path to the shed that I flew in the snow from. All looks good now, I got a place to park, got the bench to start the heli on, and a path to the shed if needed.

One more flight before it got too dark and got everything loaded back in the truck and came back home. On the way home I called my friend who is in Florida right now for the holidays, its 75 there and sunny in Sarasota. Nice, but I was still happy with my 35 and snow free island, something about the crisp cool air and the power you get is remarkable.

You are a freakin' diehard pilot Raja!

I'm sitting at home working on my helis getting them ready to fly, too cold for me!

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Yes Raja is one bad flying dude. He got up to about a 1000ft and went in to throttle hold and fell with full negitive which he said was about 70MPH and he landed on our flat bed trailer time and time again perfect. Then he hovered over a fire we had about 4 to 6 inch's from the flame and he had dust going everywhere then he took off and flew around for a while then he got up high and autoed down on our flat bed trailer again. He can fly that gasser like a nitro he is awesome.
I don't know how he flys in the snow but he is one bad hardcore dude.

Thanks Raja for everything

Hey Raj,

You know I respect you. You have good taste in helicopters and know your stuff but... your taste in music is dubious at best. LOL

I'm hoping to fly new years day - if the rain holds off. They're calling for 8 deg C ( 45 deg F ).

Happy new year to all the gasser freaks.

Hey Raja,

Don't you have an HC3-SX NIP???

Stop playing in the snow and get down to business.

I'm waiting for some feedback on how it works on a gasser, as I too like what I've read about the auto leveling feature.

Just another crappy day in Paradise....Aloha!

JUST finished installing it
The maiden could be as early as tomorrow!

I still have to play with settings and all that, and I haven't removed the flybar yet. (it can fly with a flybar).

Excellent!

It's good you're taking that approach, so when you do remove the flybar you'll have a nice comparison of before and after.

Keep us posted...
