Can this part be adapted into the R50/R50SE? Looks like you can drop the engine with this bottom frame brace..??

The frame of the X-50 is narrower than the old Raptors. I don't think it will fit.
There really is no reason to have that CF plate on an SE. I have read it was to keep the frame from twisting. I flew mine all summer without one. I don't think I will be good enough in this lifetime to detect the frame flexing
Just my opinion.

Iduno Zac. I had a minor crash early last spring. The CF plate was broken. I never replaced it. I think I crashed my .50 2 more times last summer. The frames survived. I can't think of anything that plate can help save in a crash. Especially if you figure like I do. I figure it will add 31 dollars to a crash if you want to put it back on.
Again,just my opinion.

Neon,
It sounds like you have both models in the R50 class. Why don't you measure the length & width of the X50 CF plate, then I will compare your findings with standard CF plate that I have. This measurement will answer my question asked previously.Thanx>>

I just measured the center of the mounting holes on my X50 and my V2. The mounting holes on the X50 are 59mm wide by 182mm long on the V2 they are 57mm wide by 180mm long so with a little modification (enlarging or redrilling the mounting holes by 2 mm width and length, there does appear to be enough material to do this) it should work fine. I was a little surprised I would have figured the X50 to have a narrower width. Don

Why would you want a plate, cant see the Point of it saving anything,Use Nylon Screws and Nuts screwing the skids to the Frame, which will Break in a crash saving your Frame.

Thanks for that measurement Efrog.I'm amazed aswell!! I thought the X50/X50b appeared alot slimmer then the original Raptor design. The CF is not a necessity,I personally think it adds rigity and a sexy look to my birds! I do believe you can drop the motor with this CF plate intact unlike the original version.Possibly all you need to do is elongate the holes a mm or so with a dremel instead of re-drilling a new set of holes.Great Info!!!

It looks like you could drop(wiggle)out the motor??? In the Pic.the guy is running the KME 60 motor(killer 2.48HP)in his X50,it seems to have enough room to drop?? Take a look...
