I run an 8s 4000Mah setup on my Logo 500 via 2 4s packs. Instead of buying 2 4000mah 6s packs for my 12s Logo 600, can I just use 3 4s packs since I already have them? Would I just use two series adaptors to connect them?

I would think it might be a little easier to balance the helicopter with 3 packs since you could shift the third pack forward or back depending on what you need.

You will have a maze of connector wires.

You lose a little power from resistance at each connection.

Note taken, I will stick with 2 6s packs.

Hi

If you are going to make the packs dedicated to the machine, you could cut the wires shorted any use bullet plugs to connect them together.

Would work fine.

Where would you put the 3rd pack? I have worked on logos before and there is really not room for anything except 2 packs end to end. Otherwise there is no reason you can't do it, you just have to have a 3-way y-adapter.

Two packs go end to end, the third pack sits on the most forward pack. Anyone have a diagram of a 3 way "W" harness. I guess it would no longer be considered a Y!

The adapter is simple man, just link + to - on each pack and the outer + and - connect to the esc. It will be just like a Y-adapter but with another pack involved.

Sounds easy enough. I have been making my own Y harness's with EC5's and 10 Gauge soft-wire from Hobby King so I am thinking the resistance should be minimized since I am using heavy gauge wire and connectors.
