I have installed my new telemetry module(TM1000)that came with the new DX8 radio system onto my trex-600n. I have it coupled to my A7100R reciever. I already use the rev limiter threw the A7100R reciever. I was wondering if I used the sensor that came with my helicopter kit(align600n) for the gov, switched the red and black wire in the plug, and installed it in the new module, if it would work. Has anyone done this yet?

I've done this a few times already though not with an AR7100R, same difference though.

The best way I've found to do get the RPM readings from the TM1000 is to tap the TM1000 to the signal wire from the RPM sensor only. Don't hook up the voltage wires at all.

Here is a picture of the one I made from my Trex-700

I then pulled that shrinkwrap over the tapped area and it made for a pretty neat installation. Works great.

I couldn't get the telemetry to work with the AR7000R. I tried two of the AR7000R's and neither worked. It worked with all the other receivers.

7000 or 7100's? The original AR7000's were not "data logger" capable. later firmware versions are. I have a TM1000 hooked up to an AR7000. I don't have an AR7100 to try with.

Followed your suggestion.
Just wanted to leave some feed back.
I followed your suggestion and it worked just fine, but for the curious type if you hook the other to wires up it will cause your transmitter alarm to go off and tell you your rx battery is bellow 4.3 volts. After checking my voltage I disconnected the other two wires and all is good. Thanks again jschenck.
