Hey everyone, I just got a Kenwood KAC-8105D amplifier with a 4-gauge amp kit. Here is the exact kit and amp i purchased.
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...lifier-Kit.html

I was reading the instruction manual, and it says "the rated input power of the speakers that are going to be connected should be greater than the maximum output power (in Watts) of the amplifier. Ok. First, I have these subs in a ported box.
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2065C1...tures_and_specs

It also states for power and ground cord, to use a vehicle type (fireproof) power wiring cord. I'm guessing the kit that is shown with this amp meets these requirements?

Any help is considered good help. My dad is hooking it up, but I had some questions about things I didnt understand. Thanks everyone!

Your speakers are rated 300 watts at 4 ohms and your amp puts out 300watts at 4 ohms so you should be ok, the wiring kit is more then sufficient

You need to be gentle on the volume for awhile to break in the subs and dont get nuts after break in either or youll be looking for a new coil. your going to be maxing out the subwoofer so be careful

BTW- power wires are not fireproof, and if they are thats news to me

EDIT: Didnt know you had two subs, I saw your gallery, youll be fine, pound em

If you only have to bend over once to pick it up it's a good landing.
