I am not to the point of my pitch setup yet, but I am used to flying without any negative. I will probably be struggling to set t up with no negative.

You can do that in the radio pitch curve, set it up 15 15 and take negative out and put it where you are comfortable with . I set the beginner's up like that all the time .

SC Raptorman,
could you measure from the top bearing block to the bottom of the swash with your heli in idle up and at midstick for me? i move the ele servo horn so the back of the swash comes down then adjust the front links to accomodate untill the swash is lvl. im using a trex600 swash lvl to do this. then i adjust the full travel so its sqaure at full - and + pitch. then put on the pitch gauge and adjust the pitch links to get my 0deg at midstick in idle up. still doesnt come out even. confused...

Do you do this in the pitch curve? Say my curve is linear at 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 where 0=-15 pitch, 50=0 pitch, and 100=+15pitch. Would I then make my pitch curve something like 50, 65, 80, 90, 100? Thanks

Yes , I would leave it on 50 75 100 on the top side in Normal mode . In Idle up I would do that 0 25 50 75 100 . Linear curve . 15- is 0 and 100 is 15+ .and 50 is ZERO pitch .

I don't have any idle-ups set. I only use 1 curve.

What limits the pitch John? I am thinking perhaps the washout base is upside down since you are familiar with the raptor and the X50 looks all wrong by comparison.
If it is not a mechanical limitation then is this a new model in your radio or an overwrite (done this myself) if it is an overwrite look for a mix of some sort you may have forgotten about.
Just throwing it out there, good luck getting it sorted soon

this is a new model in my dx7. no mixes are in. im using the align ds610's on cyclic. got the servo horns pretty well squared up ( had help) actually had it all setup with 14+ and 13-. but decided to mess with it and get an even pitch across the board. seems no matter where i put the swash i get a few degrees diff. i was told possibly that its because of the links being directional and can only adjust 1 turn and not half turns. this is probably true. im going back to my master heli setup guy again and gonna redo the setup. where it falls it falls i guess. well see what happens. ty for the help

Moving Swash?
OK this bird is dead easy to get the links right because there is so little adjustability. Two sets of the head links are fixed, so there is nothing to change there.

Elevator link is a set length, and the other two links from the servos to the swash HAVE TO BE that exact same center to center length! That leaves just two links to be adjusted, so that you have zero pitch at mid stick.

Note: the washout arms should be level to each other at mid stick (this is all assuming you have mid stick at the 50% collective travel position in the TX). If all of these parameters are correct, total pitch should be the same in both directions, if not they can be corrected with servo end points, and pitch travel adjustments in the TX.
