Was hopeing someone could tell me if there was a better tail rotor pitch plate, hub and grips ( prefer metal ) that fit the Rad G20, I heard some use the T-Rex 600 units but I'am not sure if it fits the stock Rad G20 tail shaft. My problem is the pins in the stock unit either slop out or bind up

altho I think I know the problem can you give us more info on the problem, I have been using the same Slider (s) for 9 years now, every once in a while I will find the Ball Links are a bit tight on the Pitch Plate (the problem is NOT the Pins !!), here I remove the Pins & Links (like in the photo below) from the Pitch Plate, then I will use some Sandpaper on the side of the Pitch Plate where the Pin-Holes are (just a TINY bit of sanding) so the Links pivot freely on the Pitch Plate

another thing, the Ball on the Slider may need adjusting (in or out),

A) if the Ball is screwed in too much you can get Slop as the Crank deflects (you will need to unscrew the Ball a bit)

B) if the Ball is not screwed in enough it will bind on the Crank (you will need to screw the Ball in a bit)

I hope I have helped, let us know because the system has been used for years and years on 30s, 50s and 90s, and now on the gassers

Thanks for the reply Jim:

I have gone through every part step by step to eliminate binding, sanded and polished the shaft, resized ball links, the problem came where the the pins press through the links and into the pitch plate, I'am just conserned about the pins working there way out if I try in loosening the fit.Has anyone ever had a pin come loose?

the opposite, (I just removed a Pin to find out) and the Pin floats in the Links and presses into the Plate,,

"" I'am just conserned about the pins working there way out if I try in loosening the fit""

don't mess with the Pin Fit in the Holes, I still beleive the problem is as I said
you can see in the photo I posted above that the Links fit like a Swingarm on the Pitch Plate, if you remove a Pin you may find this Swingarm fit to be tight, then you sand as I said above

""Has anyone ever had a pin come loose""

I have never had a Pin come loose, not even in a crash, and I don't remember any post of it happening..

Thanks Jim: You were right, had one link that was a tight fit to the point that it was actually spreading the link arms apart, I filed down the the pitch plate and reinstalled the pin and it is a lot better, going to give it a try.
