Check it over from stem to stern. Use the manual. All screws, links, etc, every one of them. Just like you were building a new kit. Look to see that the main shaft and tail shaft have not been tweaked. Roll them on a piece of glass. If you find any shaft tweaked then pull the feathering shaft as well and check it. However, if you knew this bird and owner prior to buying it and flew fine then a mild check is probally all you need. If it has been flown a lot and you have no history, I would check it over very thouroughly. This will also allow you to know your bird which is a good thing. Time up front like this could save you a ton of issues or even the bird. Also listen to the bearings as you rotate shafts, and on your first flight, just hover a few feet, check all controls carefully, listen again for bearing noise as well.

Let us know how it turns out. I bought a used Sceadu 50 for cheap and ended up taking it completely apart and staring over. Two tweaked shafts, a few bad bearings, but all in all it ended up a great flyer. Wasn't upset either as it was cheap to start with so I expected to find things. Really does fly good too.

Double check your tail blade direction and gyro direction as well and all controls. You want no surprises! Good luck.
