1. Does the Throttlestick on the 8FG have a shorter movement, like my 14mz?

2. The 8Fg is faster then the 14mz 2,4, is the swash-eCCPM-"calculations" also faster?

3. I've loocked through the 8FG manual, and to me it looks like it has the same Swash-features (linkage comp.- speed comp. - interactions comp. etc) like the 14mz, is that correct.

4. Plane version vs. Heli version.
Does both version have a three switch at Thr. Hold (Auto) (short upper switch, on the right shoulder)

5. can the 8FG handle the 6014, if i only use 7 or 8 channels?

#5: Yes, just make sure the RX is in 'Multi' mode.

#1 yes, they seem the same to me.

#2 Not sure, cant really tell a difference when flying the same model on either radio.

#3 Same but layed out much nicer in the 14 IMHO. If you know how to use the 14's menu's to lose interactions you do just fine with the 8's.

#4 Not sure about the plane version but the heli version definitley has a 3 pos switch for hold on the upper first right switch.

#5 Not sure, I dont own any 14ch receivers only the 8ch HS versions.

The 8 is a very nice backup radio especially for the price.... But wouldn't trade my 14 in for anything...

Slim,
I would agree with you, I would not trade my 14MZ in on anything, BUT, if I had to buy a new radio, it would be the 8FG.
I do have one, bought one just for flying foamies in the winter. Way too much radio for that, (and the 14 is way to much for my helis), but it is a really sweet radio and wait until later in January when you see the new software update for the 8FG.

Slim pickins is right in his answers except he didn't answer your last question.

Therefore answer to question 5 is yes the 8FG can handle the 6014 receiver. You have to choose the 7 channel mode instead of multi.

You will love this radio, I know I do.

I answered the 6014 question in previous post, and to make sure radio was in multi mode to be able to use it.
