Do ANY OF YOU OLD TIMERS realize that the excalibur differed in that its tail boom was shorter and the mains were short and VERY WIDE? Fact!.......none of you mention this bit of trivia when you throw it in with the others.

Once again...some right...some WRONG
And the kalt gasser from 1993 Did not have BARON anywhere in its name...it is GS ALPHA II.......plain and simple.
Also,before my baron 60.....was the Baron 50

mine as for sale IS a BARON 60(not anything with alpha in its' name)....next came the baron alpha II...round nitro fuel tank with large O rings,as well as excallibur with odd tank like the one in this ad,...and then there is the GS ALPHA II...my gasser.
I have some questions. Please answer them in detail if you are able.

1. What is the difference between the ALPHA model reviewed in the December '91 magazine that I pictured and your model? Please list in detail the distinction between your "Baron 60" and the "Alpha" that the magazine reviewed.

The frames are the same, the head is the same, and the canopy is the same. Are you saying that the magazine reviewed a model that never existed?

2. Since the Alpha II clearly existed in both GS and glow versions, are you actually going to make the argument that Kalt named the model "Alpha II" when there was never a first generation Alpha?? Once again, are we imagining that the model in the magazine article entitled "Baron Alpha" that appeared in December of 91 two'ish years before the Alpha II ever existed is just an illusion that somehow appeared in that magazine when the kit never existed? Are you going to suggest that they and not Kalt named the model Alpha?

Since Blue Angel owned a bona fide Baron 60 EX (whose engine faced rearward and had the tank up front), are you saying that he too is wrong about his recall of the model's production timeline. Don't you find it the slightest bit odd that he said the exact same thing I did?

This whole debate is good for keeping your sales ad at the top, and it certainly doesn't undermine the sales potential, but it is out of place for the classifieds. If you are so certain you are correct, post a pic of your model on the antiques forum where a great many so-called "old timers" frequent. See what they say your model is. I'll be most interested. If the majority opinion says it's not an Alpha variant, I'll be happy to admit that I'm wrong.

could you post detail photos of the control system, I'd like to have a look.

It appears that most of Kalt helis had PERFECT mechanical mixing, an absolute marvel to have, and even more so considering the other mechanical mixing implementations fell short of perfect.

I suppose this is why there are a lot of old Kalt fans.
