According to the manual, you can just plug in a single cable to the Sbus and it works.

Now Vbar and the SK720 does have the advantage of replacing the receiver on larger heli's, but they better release the governor feature quick to keep buyers interested.
Vbar gov is around the corner, The beta testing is done and Uli is working out the interface (we got a separate gov setup page, but the final will be incorporated into the setup sequence). Its a game changer for sure since it precompensates for loading or unloading by looking at what the pitch, cyclics and tail are doing and adjusting throttle before hand, which no other gov on the market can do.

The GY701 governor already does that for rudder commands. I would be very surprised if they don't incorporate the same functionality in the three axis offering.

And before we start a pissing match over this, I'm not taking anything away from the Vbar. It's absolutely correct to use this cross-talk concept since the way the model flies is so wholly dependent on the maintenance of consistent headspeed. Predictive technology is always preferred over reactive, no matter how fast the latter is.

The TH website still says late February for estimated release of the CGY750. Anyone know if it might be earlier?

Why would this surprise you laughingstill? It is used with the S-Bus, so it knows all inputs from TX.

Anyone know if the MB does this as well, I would assume it does. Precompensate that is, for the pitch to rudder interaction.

Not surprised just thought it would be cool if there was an option out there that did this without the need to go FBL. S-Bus only on this?

The MB is not capable of pre-compensating for cyclic to throttle, although I am sure it does for cyclic to rudder as pretty much all the other newer flybarless systems do.

I clarified my earlier post. The 701 can talks back and forth with the rudder channel, not the cyclics. I would have high hopes that it'll look at what the cyclics are doing to once they are being run directly through the system as well. Sorry for the confusion.

I've asked this Q before, so here we go again Does anyone know if you can adjust the blade phasing electronically with the BeastX? Seems that would be a very big question for the scale guys that are considering one of these units. I have looked at their website and can't find any info regarding this set up question.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

When is Spartan RC going to enter the FBL battle?

They are the only company that made Futaba up their own game with respect to gyro performance. If the Spartan FBL system is as good as their gyros...game on between Mikado, Futaba and Spartan. I don't know if MB will be competitive in this high cost war!

Spartan
I don't know if there is any official word from Spartan but the unofficial noise is that it's fairly soon now. Testing seems to be well under way.

I'm probably not the world's biggest Spartan fan (have a 760 on my Srimok 90E, it's OK, but there are better gyros tbh) so not too excited about this - I fly a V-Bar and that's still the benchmark from what I can tell. The Futaba looks like a serious contender though - and the GY's are among my favourite gyros, so expecting a similarly smooth, locked feel from the 3-axis unit.

The Gy520 and Vbar are my favorite tail servos. I too have high hopes for the Futaba. I will build a nitro, probably a N5 specifically for the Futaba system. I wouldn't dare put a Futaba flybarless system on my Logo's, that would be sacrilege.
