I agree 100% with Billy Bob.I have not really kept up on V-Bar Stuff, but aren't we are on Gen 5 of the V-Bar. Its an Evolving product as is the Total G.

The Total G is hardly a Flop..... If that's the case is V-Bar a flop? After all it took 5 versions to get it to this point?

From what I heard, the BeastX was supposed to be the Align 3g but at the last moment, Align backed out and went in a different direction because of profit margin. Sounds like they should of stayed with the Beast!

like i said nothing wrong with taking revisions to get something right but i laugh when people so oh its going to be the best and its not. If anyone else thinks they could do a better job they should have started 10 years ago when mikado did.

The VBAR always flew well, Mikado just made it easier to setup. 3.6 was a nightmare to me and hard to setup but if someone sent you a good file, it was all good.
TTL-G is not a flop, just 3.6 ish right now IMO.

3.6 was very difficult, but did fly very well.

+1 to laughingstill.

I have had V-bars since V3.4 and he is totally right. When you first got a V-bar and looked at all the set up parameters, you almost had an anxiety attack. If you found someone to send you a file, you where good to hook. You could also see what settings where what and it gave you a a good idea what you needed to do to get it to fly well.

There may be better systems out there now but the V-bar is for sure no flop. I have 2 Total G's now but I still have a 5.0 Pro Bluline on my Logo 600.

eh, i just sold my totalg as its currently in the same ballpark with beastx or vbar. i preordered the total g and had it day 1 but just never liked the feel. when flying hard 3d it does weird things with multiple cyclic inputs and rudder. ive flown a few vbar machines and they fly great but different and almost too different from a flybar. after flying a beastx i installed one in one of my helis then proceeded to sell the totalg because the beastx just flys awesome. btw i know my punctuation and grammar are horrible im on a small tablet.

Just installed my microbeast last night on my 700E, it was really easy, I was very impressed.

Now I can't wait to fly it, if only it wasn't 20 degrees out dammit !

Well the MB rocks. Just finished on a T500 converted from Vbar 4.0
I also have a Vbar 5.0 blue on a Fury 55 and a SK720 on a T600.
The MB was much easier to set up and flew almost perfect out of the box.
I elected to set cyclic thru the Tx and with aileron and elevator dual rate set to 125%, it flips/rolls in around 3 seconds. The feel is better than the Vbar or SK720.

So lets see about the MB:
Cheaper
Easier to set up
Flies better
Piro's great
Axial rolls
No laptop needed!!!!

Now Vbar and the SK720 does have the advantage of replacing the receiver on larger heli's, but they better release the governor feature quick to keep buyers interested.

A friend who flies FB, but has flown all of my FBL units said it best "MB is hands down the best one yet".

FastFlyer,

Can you share some pics of the FBL Fury. I would like to see how you have it mounted.

Thanks,

Jarrett

It is Vbar 5 where the gyro is separate from the FBL/Rx.
The gyro is mounted above the tail boom and the fbl/Rx is mounted up front.
I considered mounting the MB on the Fury, but it does not have a great layout for it unless you re-do all of the wiring.

Vbar 5.0 with the separate gyro and the combined FBL/Rx does have the most versatile set up for mounting on anything from a 450 to a 700.

just got my first beastx installed.

NIICE.

i have 3 other vbars all running v4. not a complaint about how they fly at all...they all fly great. and, i'll admit i have no experience with any flavor of v5...easy, pro or otherwise. but, for the cost of upgrading my vbars i could almost afford a beastx....so....

the setup of beastx is SOOOO much simpler and straight forward than vbar 4 is.

what i really appreciate most is the immediate 'bio' feedback of the unit. it tells you right away if your geometry is out of spec or not as you set the unit.

for the price, ease of setup, and ease of grasping the concepts presented, and the performance delivered (i can't tell the difference between it and any of my vbars in the air), i'll be hard pressed to get another vbar. $200 shipped is just the nail in the coffin.

as for 3G, i'm seriously thinking of getting whatever i can for it in the classifieds and putting the proceeds toward another beastx. 3G is ok on bigger birds. but, on my 450 it has some quirks i can't dial out.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Anyone used the interface yet? I can't seem to find instructions for it anywhere ? Is it just for firmware updates or can you adjust parameters?

I haven't plugged it into my laptop yet.

What is the topic here?
Is it bashing?

Or

Is it Bring it on?

I have only flown the 3G, but I can't figure out why it is taking so much heat. It seems to me it is all in the set up.

The 3G needs minor tweaks out of the box, and your good to go.

The other systems, I wouldn't know.

What I do know is that when the V-bar first came out, you needed to take out a loan. It was pricey, and now? Not so much. You can thank the 3G for that.

I'd like to see spartan come out with a flybar-less system. I'd get one.

And when is someone going to make an app for that?

Total-G Problems
Exactly what all is wrong with the Total-G? It seams like everyone talks bad about it and I don’t see hardly any flying.

I have helped several at my field with it and the disc seems to refuse to stay level in pirouettes, causing the heli to wander in piro moves. There is supposed to be a fix on the horizon.

Regarding MB and the use of the product...
I got one of the first products released. April-10

Been flying it since on a my 500esp, 600(8S)esp
Now also installed on my 700e (1917-H42/Kontronik Jive)

It's my first FBL system, previously using Mini-g & Spartan 760 gyro.

Got some experienced pilot (I'm not) trying the MB out at PitchBrothersSmackdown in Denmark, one of them was the store owner of PitchUp.se who has tried all common FBl systems on the market.

OT... Pitchup.se has since June-10 been retail for the MB...

V1.0 was quite ok out of the box, nothing more, nothing less..
After release 2.0 I can say that the heli are almost flying on default settings as good as it did after tweaking the 1.0 version.
The pirorate as default are now "right there", great tail!

Tail hold/locked-in feeling beats both Spartan & min-G 11days a week.

For a Sport flying dude (light tictocs, funnels and inverted flying) like my self, the MB are the FBL winner for the buck!

And...
1. 2.0 Sw release dose not include the up-coming PC SW
2. It's simple to upgrade to 2.0 following the instructions
(in English) at beastx.com website...
3. If any FBL system should get the grant for bringing FBL systems
out to the wide population, I assume MB should be the one...
4. It's water proof, for at least 2min. Don't ask me how i know...

Let's see what the heli "God" got in he's hand for 2011!

Wish U all Great flying and take care of both you self and
the people around you...

Fly whatever you have, I have both 3G and beastX. And Happy with both, if you asked me, beastX got better piro and overall while 3G have faster cyclic out of the box but tail is second class gyro. I am not plan sell the 3G and get another beastX, My next on wish list is Blue regular Vbar 5.0 , Never try mikado yet, and now price get lower and better firmware.
