Walkera V120D03
Just got a new Walkera V120D03. Finished going over all the parts and setting it up. I was able to translate the broken english in the manual and all of the mistakes. I have a good grasp on setting up the stock TX and RX. I have the cheaper TX. not the PRO TX. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. So far so good, the heli is very sweet. Out of the box I didn't have to do much to it at all. Took me a few mins to get it up into a hover. Blade tracking, blade balance, trim was already done. I ordered mine from Helipal.

Shipping
I'm not sure how long the shipping took because my dad order it. I'm going to say it took less than 2 weeks. I was told the shipping was around $30 bucks. They threw in about 3 sets of blades and some training gear which I don't use.

I found one thing that I don't like so far on the heli. The main shaft collar is real sloppy on the main shaft. I already carved a new one out on my lathe that fits properly. This pisses me off because taking these helis apart sucks. This is just the norm because every tiny heli I ever owned needs some tweeking. Sometimes they turn out bad ass and sometimes they are just piles of crap. I seem to always have good luck with Walkera.

I have not flown it yet other than in the house(need to find an indoor place to fly). So far it seems like it should be a rocket. It's stable with the 3 axis setting turned on. With it off it starts to become a handfull. I hope to get this heli flying sport well with this cheap TX. If it does well I'm going to look into the V120D05 with the pro TX. The belt drive should do well. I'm sort of pissed about the main shaft collar but if everything else pans out and holds up I will be happy. I have the Walkera mini dual rotor heli and I have been ripping that thing around my office for years. I've been impressed at how well it has held up for how small it is.

Flew The V120D03
Took the V120D03 outside for the first flight. Did some circuits around the back yard. It flew well, nothing to complain about. I'm going to have to go to a more open spot with less trees around. I also ordered a V120D02, should be in Friday. I still need to get the PRO TX for sure. On the V120D03, does anyone have any input on adjusting the tail ? I know it's a 2 motor heli and you get some kick out but does anyone have some good knowledge on setting the tail up ?

If the tail kicks out when you pump the collective, try reducing the pitch range. This can be done with the stock TX.
