1005 gasser tail rotor length?
I have a 16 to 15 tooth tail rotor speed-up gear set in my 1005 and 680mm main rotor. Does anyone know what a good size tail rotor would be? The stock blades are very long. is 95mm a good length?

I am mostly concerned about the increased stress on the grear set. But I also have a tail wag. That I could cure without reducing the size of the tail rotor but before I go to the trouble of tuning the gyro gain etc. I would like to choose my tail rotor length.

Tail wag
Speed-up gears can make wag worse. Your problem is probably related to gyro gain (Gain set too high) The blade length you mentioned is not excessive. I run 105 mm on 1004 SEs.
Have you hooked up with any other heli pilots yet? Your best bet for success is getting involved with other pilots that already fly successfully.
