So anyone that don't bring is A Big Boat load of money is a free loader? Seems poor people who cant get ahead is worthless and a strain on the system?
A simple concept that folks like yourself don't seem to understand is that the tax eaters are quickly outnumbering the tax payers via our loony politicians in our local, state, and federal government that allow it to happen and get worse simply by passing legislation and signing into law "Feel Good Legislation" that simply makes them feel good.

Now, what do you suppose will happen once those tax eaters do out number those tax payers?

I think we are already there.

What do you propose we do about it?

Take more?

I know plenty of hard working people who have worked their whole life and hardly can put food on the table. One is particular individual worked for a toaster company proctor silex, and worked for 25 years and now paints cars, his back went out on him, and he want even take food stamps, because he could not get help when he needed it most.
People like him are welcome (in my book) to assistance.

Let me help you understand what we're saying, 'poor' hard working people who provide their families the necessities in life are good people and qualify for help.....
The people that Sun Nuclear and Freakyreef speak of are America's Turds... Period.

I'm sure lots of decent people do need the assistance. Seems that only the opportunist scum makes the news. We need to elect people into office to curb this system manipulation behavior. It's seems that always the kids suffer.

The best assistance for 99% of them is a decent job but like said above its getting harder to find thanks to our over taxation to fund all these feel good programs among other things as well.

Anyone who votes a guy in that wants to increase our taxes is only adding to the problem, that just happened again in Minnesota when they put Dayton in for Governor. That's an indication for what's to come.

I cannot speak for your area of the counry. Only where I live. We have plenty of low income housing. It is based off what you earn. If you don't earn enough, the housing is free. We have LEAP which is low income energy assistance plan. Helps pay your utility bills. The foodstamp program helps pay your grocery bill. Medicaid pays medical.
Is it a dream life? Not by any stretch of the imagination. But this talk of all the starving people (yes there are some) is overblown. There is too much senes of entitlement in the country today. There are those that are truely down on their luck and need assistance, but the freeloaders are stealing from those people, not the hardworking people that are providing it through taxes. Get rid of the freeloaders and there is more help for those that truely need it. I know , easier said than done.

Walk on water long enough, eventually you will get your feet wet.

If we got rid of the freeloaders, where would we put them?

Just kidding.

Seems to me a good thing to do would be to make all who accept assistance pass a drug test and prove US Citizenship as a requirement to receive that assistance. If they fail a drug test the first time, then move them into a program to get them off drugs and test them again while further receiving assistance. If they fail a 2nd time, no more free-be dollars until they pass the test. Cut them off and make it stick !!

I'll bet we could save a very large measure of the assistance we hand out each day in short order by just doing those simple things. And, drug use would probably decrease dramatically.

Illegals would just naturally start going home where they belong and save even more millions for the states and the federal gov. You don't have to throw them out. Just deny the easy bucks and they will naturally move back home. Just like in a slower economy, thats what they do.

This is a lack of leadership issue. Pure and simple. This never should be happening. Guess who put those leaders there?

We did.

Just get rid of all the government run assistance programs altogether. I'm probably wrong but it seems like the people who really need assistance get it through their church.

Hmmmm.

That brings up another point.

I wonder how many get it from both their church AND the government.

Ah Geez.

I just gotta stop thinking about this crap.

This is about Social Security dependancy not the failed War on Drugs.

Passing a drug test to qualify for gov assistance is directly related to both Social Security dependency & the war on drugs.

Just sayin
