Wow, Esky has been busy while I was gone
I have been out of the Esky ring for over a year now due to nitro birds. I went on helidirect today and ended up on the esky page and WOW. They have a ton of models I never heard of and even have a HBK 4 now

I've been stupid busy all year. Work has been insane and any free time is spent with my kids. I have only flown a handful of times since our second was born in August. I just sold off my rappy which was my last heli but plan on getting a small bird to fly across the street. Right now the new Belt-CPX is looking good. Crash parts seem to be reasonable and I like the changes to the airframe.

How soon we forget? Here's the HBK4 thread from 4/2010. Even Fender posted in that thread Check out the videos. Entertaining in an odd way.

The most interesting model in the new lineup is the 3 bladed HB CT. Its interesting because the pre-production info on it indicated it would come with a flybarless controller. I thought perhaps this could be the start of the ubber inexpensive flybarless controllers. But it looks like that honor is going to the Micro Beast from BeastX. I had also hoped Esky could do for the sub micro CP market what Eflight and Walkera failed to do. I guess not.

About the Belt-CPX, I'll keep my comments to myself.

Indeed, I really like the looks of it. The only thing that steered me away is the motor driven tail

And so it goes with almost every Esky product ever sold. Slider once said, "if you need to mod your heli for it to fly right, you bought the wrong heli" I resisted for many years and hundreds of dollars. Like many I have now a modded Esky heli. But I have 3 others which are bone stock and fly perfectly right out of the box. It turns out that after all this time, Slider was right.

Slider was right without a doubt. Being a major player in the "how far can I mod this" game I can do nothing but agree The main difference this time around is I have a different MO for the heli. I just want something to strap to this fuse and putter around in the 2 acre field by my house

The airframe don't have to be the latest, most precise machine on the market to fit the bill. Plus I kinda miss having an esky bird around

Thank you both for the kind words, I didn't think anyone was listening......
I started flying helis in the late 70's before we had heli radios and gyros, They were nearly impossible to fly for very long without severe nervous damage, but I overcame the hardships and flew them pretty good for the time. Kids came along and consumed all of my time so I got out of the hobby.
Fast forward to 2005, I had this profound thought after fighting with a hummingbird FP for a year. I then bought a blade cp it was like night and day.... but was still fighting issues. When I bought the first 450 it confirmed my beliefs that you can buy a heli that will fly great right out of the box with NO mods.....
I like the fuselage plan but I would still suggest to buy mechanics that will fly without mods... You will enjoy the scale heli alot more....
Tom..... No "D" flying....

To a degree slider was right, it depends on the individual what upgrades are needed for any said heli to make you happy. There is no set rule on the matter.

Thanks, I can't take any credit though. That's a pic from the previous owner. I haven't had time to assemble it yet, probably tomorrow.

Perhaps there is not a single right answer for everyone, but there is definity alot of wrong answers for anyone with money.
