Hobby Shops in New Mexico
So I used to live in Albuquerque and did all of my hobby shopping at Hobbies N' Stuff off Eubank... Just called to see if they had a certain part in stock and found out they have closed down. I'm going home for the holidays and will be there for quite a while. Does anyone know of any hobby shops that carry Align parts in the Albuquerque or Santa Fe area???

Thanks
-Steve

WHAT? Hobbies 'n' Stuff is GONE? For good? Man. I lived there for ten years, Stan and Helen worked magic with that store, taking it from a two-person mom and pop shop to a very large, very nice store. What a shame.-----

Found a post on RC Groups -- Stan and Helen sold the store. The new owner moved it. Then abruptly closed the doors and split. What a shame, a crying shame. Stan and Helen put a lot of blood and soul into that store. Both were always willing to help and just wandering around the store was a pleasant experience. All the people who worked there knew their stuff, too! Something you don't often find anymore.-----

Wow... If I were Stan and Helen I'd be pretty disgusted by that... I know I am.. that was the only legit hobby store I could find when I was there. Big Boys Toys on Juan Tabo is, no offense to them, a joke. I completely agree about the hospitality there... I believe Chris, younger kid who was very skilled pilot, got me back into the hobby after being out for years!

Yeah, the whole Hobbies N' Stuff thing sucked.

The short answer: Hit Hobby Proz on Wyoming and Menaul. There, you will find Rich, still working behind the car counter and even Stan on Fridays and weekends. I just found them a few weeks ago when I finally hit the "Must find replacement for Hobbies N' Stuff" mode.

This place actually reminds me a LOT of HN'S back when they where on Bear Canyon Plaza. It's not as big as HN'S before Stan and Helen sold it, but it has the same kind of "vibe" where you find people that genuinely love the hobby AND are trying to get you what you NEED instead of how much they can stick you for.

If nothing else, it was real good catching up with Rich and Stan.
