X-50B rotor head assembly
On page 12 the diagram says that the distance from the lock ring to the end of the main shaft should be approximately 78.5mm.
Shouldn't the lock ring be on the groove on the main shaft? If so the distance is more like 84mm.

Put it in the groove and tighten slightly at this point.
later when installing the drive gears (on page 21) and hub then you can set the main shaft axial spacing to a minimum and tighten down securly. I remember the distance being closer so just check that you have the main shaft correct (end for end) with the 2 holes down.

I think the 2 holes in he main shaft go up as the head is secured to these 2 holes with 2 Jesus bolts. I am thinking off hand as I don't have my manual in front of me.

The two holes that line up with each other goes to the top.

Thanks for the clairification - 2 holes that line up go to the top and 2 holes 90degrees from each other go down.
