I was just reading through this manual and noticed some interesting differences with the actual kit as well as the manual itself:

It appears that the TT version comes with metal flybar control arms, metal washout arms, metal tailcase and metal main grips.

It also shows the boom supports attaching to the frame at the frame cross brace behind the gas tank instead of at the rear skid mounts.

The tail rod guides are clamp on instead of the normal glue on ones.

Any opinion on which way would be best to mount the struts? I would argue that a steeper angle would yield more support so I vote to keep them mounted at the landing gear.Chris

All that Bling adds weight and thats takes away from the lightness that makes them fly so light . I do not believe the bling will make it fly any better than it does now.

those blings are standard equipment on trexes, and they fly light too. they dont add significant weight to the model to be worth mentioning and you really cant feel flight performance difference in the air with those added weight.

and they look good too.

by the way, trex are the best selling and best performance to value ratio and are worthy to be the industry standard benchmark nowadays.

Pretty clever how the jackshaft and TT drive gear are installed in the plastic tail frame. Doesn't appear to be too many part required to make the conversion.

I'm really happy with the belt drive tail on my X50, but with the torque tube I could use an aluminum boom, as the belt tension wouldn't be changing with temperature. I'll be watching for the conversion kit.
