I have been having trouble with my c-spec fitent on turn over and I suspect the mesh between the engine and pinion is not right. I know there have been lots of topics about this but the one question I would like to ask is for those of you using the cpsec and 15 tooth pinion, whats the total of the shims you are using between the motor and engine mount?

I had started with 2.1mil but my friend has 1.2, when I use 1.2 I can't turn the main gear as the whole assembly is very tight (the clutch liner is used and has been skimmed down for a better fit on the clutch)

There are two different engine mounts for the Milli.

The engine mount which came with the earlier kits, does not use any shims as standard with the 13t pinion. Needs 1mm of shim under the engine with the 15t pinion.

The engine mount that comes with the later kits and which is supplied as a spare part now comes with three shims, one 0.8mm and two 0.2mm shims. These three shims are required as standard with the 13t pinion. To use the 15t pinion you will need to add another 1mm shim, totalling 2.2mm.

I found this out the hard way.

I had a set of engine mounts supplied to me from a "new" kit ,minus the extra shims, had a whole lot of trouble trying to align the engine using only 1mm of shim, after comparing the original and replacement mounts there was a difference, after looking into it further with the local robbe dealer we noticed the new replacement mounts come with shims and instructions regarding the mill/nova and cuattro.

With the Cuattro you don't use the shims, with the nova and milli you do.

Hope this helps out a bit.

I already wondered why the Cuatro works fine with a 23mm bell instead of 22, both motor mount and belt had the same order numbers... now I know why
