Best .50 Class heli in the market as of today.....
There are so many .50 Class heli’s in the market that at times it gets hard to decide which one to get. Let see what you guys think in reference towards the best 50 machine so far. I was way fond of this JR Vibe 50 flying characteristics, but on the other hand Furry 55 seems to be appealing as the new JR Vibe 50 Nex.

Any Opinions

There will be too many different opinions and you will end up pulling your hair out!

BUY THE CHEAPEST! YOU WILL HAVE MORE FUN!

If you think you will NEVER crash buy an expensive one but in not crashing you are obviously not having fun!

So if hobby king made a cheap $150.00
.50 size HELI your recommending that. Cheap isn't always the best route...remember what they say...you get what you pay for

Ive seen and flown a TZ Frenzy 90, nothing wrong with it in fact I think they are fantastic!

YOU DONT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR THESE DAYS! WE GET CONSTANTLY RIPPED OFF!.... And who are 'they' exactly who say this?!

All im saying is 'best' in my mind is the most fun for the least $$$ or £££ in my case.

You buy a BMW you pay mostly for the badge!

P.S. [size=small] avoid italian heli's!

So many choices and good FBL units are making the heli frame less important.
Install a YS 56 for power and FBL for agility and go have fun....

BTW flying a T600 and Fury 55, as soon as I ditched the FB both fly different, but great.

Simply Hirobo SDX No more carbon, no more bling, NO MORE EXPENSIVE CARBON FRAMES Crash parts are cheap considering T-rex 600 makes the whole heli a bling house.Jeffrey Fung...15 Years old - FLEET: Evo 50, Raptor 30, Trex 500, SDX's, X-Spec, Logo 10/400

Hate to say it, but I would guess all the mainstream quality helicopters, when set up properly, will be similar. To me, it's all about getting which one simply makes your boat float. Its like trying to figure out which road cone does a better job of being a road cone. I tell you what, I wanted an X50 until I learned how much it would cost to replace the frame in a crash, so there is that. If you don't care about crash costs or parts availability, it is just about buying what floats the boat....

I think they have gone about as far as they are going to go with airframes. The real differences will be electronics and power. The only newer helicopter that interests me is the Radikal, and that is only because it is a gasser. Otherwise, my V2 Raptor is still doing everything I need it to and is cheap to keep in the air.

Parts for JR are on the pricy side and it's supposedly on the heavier side as well as told me by a JR owner who loved how his flew.

The Geometry of newer helis is pretty good overall so that's a debatable point by just about anybody. Parts longevity (bearings) are also very debatable and most bearnings can be replaced by better bearings aftermarket wise (ie Boca Bearings).

So here's an objective way to decide on any heli.

Do a price comparison of parts that usually get beat up in a crash. Blades (separate topic really), booms, TT gears, shafts (main and tail), belts, landing gear parts, (one piece vrs two), bottom plate, and of coarse, God forbid you actually break the frames

Layout
Next thing to figure is can you get to everyting easily, route wires easily, clear and easy mounting places for your gyro, esc, govorner, FBL equipment etc. Remember things will probably need replacig eventually, and some frames are easier to work around than others.

And last but not least, which one gives you the most eye appeal when you look at it (as you will be looking extensively at it while flying). Everyone likes the looks of heli's differently. I think Synergy is a good looking heli. My buddy Aaron thinks they look like Dora from finding Nemo

Factor those 3 things and rank in order of importance to you, price, layout, and looks. Then make an informed decision.
High Voltage just works better
