if you're looking for trustworthy and all-around good blades, definately go for the Radix (Standard or FBL depending on your setup). If you're looking for a totally bad-to-the bone competition ready blade, i'd say try out the Edge (FB or FBL depending on your setup). That's based on what i've heard from countless other pilots, both pro and ametuer. I personally have never flown the Edge but i have flown Radix and they are very good!

my set up is a 600e 12s with 2300 head speed, i currently have Align super pro 3d blades and not to sure if i like the feel of them. i flew my Uncles 600n pro with Mavrik 5G pro Wide core blades and the feel was better.

I'm no pro and over the last couple of years I have messed with different blades. I have to say that the Edge blades are the best. I am flying them on all my birds now.Velocity 50 FBL, Trex 600 FBL, Frenzy V2 FBL

With a heli that powerful you're definately going to want a good blade. Try the Edge, i'm sure you'll love 'em

i mean, if you have the money, buy a few pairs (different manufactures) and see which suites you best. That's honestly the only way you're going to pick one

personally i've only flown the Standard but from what i've heard, the stick bangers are suited for on the deck snappy stick banging action. Not sure if that's what you're into. I also heard that they don't auto very well at all (very very light blade)

Don't be surprised if you don't like the Edge's then if you are looking for a firm blade. I had a few sets of the FB blades and they were not to my liking at all. They were extremely soft and required a lot more pitch than i am used to in order to stop the heli. They don't load the head and you can be extremely aggressive on the sticks without loading/bogging the heli (and they tracked well), which is why so many people like them. For me though, they were just wayyyy to mushy on the collective. If you are looking for a stiffer feel, try a set of the new style Mav G5s. I was looking for something with stopping power more along the lines of the older V-Blades, just without the engine loading. The G5s don't load the head but stop much crisper than the Edge's or Radix.

Blades choice really comes down to feel though, so I'd suggest trying a few different sets if you can (borrow from other guys you fly with hopefully) and try them out. Depending on the feel you are looking for and your collective management, blade choices differ greatly from pilot to pilot.

Supercoolheli,
You really should give advice on things you used, not what you read somewhere because thats how bad advice gets out.Ive used both the standard and SB's and liked both but that doesn't mean he will.Just saying .

hotrodcaddy3,
Everyone has a opinion and theres quite a few awesome brands out there. The best thing to do is buy a brand and when you crash, buy another brand.Once you buy a few, you'll know what one you like.

Edge
Mavrikk G5 Pro wide chores
Radix standard/SB's
RotorTech
Align
SAB

Ive flown all them blades and like them all but if I had to pick,i'd go with the Mavrikks but thats just me.There all very good 3D blades but you have to find the ones you like.

Exactly what you said Art, i was switching between Edge and radix, edge was fast but way too muchy and auto'd like crap and radix were alittle slow, bogged the heli but auto'd great. G5's are a perfect mix between the two. they have the pop of radix and the speed of Edge! i love 'em! Mavrick G5's all the way!

Blades
For 600 size blades:
Edge/Rotortech
Radix
Mavrik Wide chord G5 - don't confuse these with the other Mavrik blades, including the other so-called "Pro" blades that aren't nearly as good.
I haven't tried the 690-710mm versions of the Edge blades. And in this size range I waver back and forth between the Rotortech and Radix blades as my favorites with the Align's a shade behind, and the Mavrik's another little step behind that. steve.
