Skookum 360 questions
Checking inputs from receiver I can't seem to get both sides of the stick at 100% . Down Elev 103.8% Up Elev 100.2% . I understand how to adjust the travel percentage but when I get one adjusted to 100% it throws the opposite direction out of whack .

Is it critical to have percentages set right on 100% ? If so how can you fine tune each direction seperatley ?

Nevermind all you have to do is reread the instructions for the 312th time and see that the atv will square the other end up

New question : Checking the pitch percentage in intputs from rx I have 100% travel set and i'm showing 23.2 in pitch box . Then I read the footnote below and it says Green = positive pitch . Do I have to have that number set to zero at lets say midstick ?

My concern is the further positive i push the stick the number goes into the negatives and the box becomes red . Is this normal ? I am thinking the number in the pitch box is going to read whatever it reads once the pitch in the blades is set , correct ?

at center stick on a straight pitch curve (0, 25, 50, 75, 100) you should read zero in the pitch box. When you go positive collective it should go to 100% positive (green).
if it is not, you have a pitch curve issue, a total ATV issue or a direction issue

Jim rechecking what I said . At mid stick box reads 0.00 . When I apply positive pitch the box goes red and into the negatives . When I apply neg pitch the box goes green and applies numbers to the positive side .

Now for the direction topic . The swash is moving in the correct direction according to the sticks . The gyro is correcting properly as well .

Any ideas ?

The pitch ATV's are 100/100 asa well .

Pitch curve is linear also .

reverse your TX channel for pitch, then reverse the swash percentage for pitch.
That will fix you

Ok got this bird in the air . I can't seem to get the up and down bounce or porposing from front to rear out of the heli now . I have the basic 3D file loaded in the unit . I've upped the hiller gain from 40% to 60% . That seemed to help a little but it's still there . It will calm down in hover until I give elevator input then it porposes a little bit . The aileron axis seems to be unaffected .

Any ideas ?

to help mine i reduced the hillar gain

the cure was to go from trailing edge control on the blade grips to leading edge
and taking out the hard dampers and fitting the std dampers back in
and i took out the cave man servos and fitted digital servos
it's now perfect with the hillar gain set back to the std out the box setting
mines set up on the default setting not the 3d setting

Check "use base gains directly" on advanced tab.
Then try this for settings

Elevator Aileron
Control rate 260 260
Bell Gain 50 50
Hiller Gain 50 50
Damping Gain 21 19
Tail Drag comp -6 0

Use Base gains directly
Hiller decay at 150

Also, with your swash percentages that low to get +/-10 cyclic and 12 or so collective, I am thinking your servo ball spacing is too far out.

I think you want the hiller and damping gains closer to what I had listed. That is why you want "use base gains directly" so you can take the trim pots out of the pictureJim Senicka
