That is a great question to ponder, Bennie! Have actually thought that
very thing a few times over the years.

For sure, I'd be going back to a pickup of some kind,(yep, been doing
the mini-van thing for several years now, too,.......and actually liking it!) and maybe back into motorcycling, although I think I was about burned out w. them by the time I sold my last one. Might be
more likely to look into some of the latest in bicycling, road and trail.

And spend a little more time on learning the guitar, which has been
collecting dust badly for years!

And might end up on a lot more 'normal' vacations, (think there are a
lot of places the wife would like to drag me to), if it wasn't for all
the heli 'vacations' we have been on over the years.

Dunno.......about everytime that question pops in my head, it all seems to lead right back around to RC aircraft......think I may be a
'lifer'........if the FAA allows it!

Probably still making/performing music.

I was a band geek in high school, playing the piano, clarinet, and alto sax. I considered pursuing piano performance and got to the point of being accepted to a number of music schools, but ended up deciding not to as it likely wouldn't have lead to a lucrative career. I can still play the piano at a college level, but I no longer play on a regular basis.

I flew R/C helicopters throughout high school, but I've really gotten in deep these last 2-3 years. Can't say that I have any regrets.

I would probably still be playing guitar in a metal band and also recording more bands in my studio. Actually, when winter hits typically the studio projects fund my heli projects

In case anyone wants to head bang My old band

I have recently gotten back into live sound and have been doing that for an 80's cover tune band. PleasureDome

No matter what, I eat, sleep and breath helicopters.

I would like another seado when money permits.

Best fun I have ever had in my life, lots more fun than RC or even Motorcross.

What would some of you be doing if you did not get hooked in RC?
More 4wd camping trips. The desert and mountains around Vegas are a gold mine of outstanding locations for testing the shocks, treads and lockers. More boat camping trips as well. Lake Mead, with 500+ miles of shoreline, is only a half hour away. Other smaller lakes aren't much farther.

But it's a toss-up which (including RC) costs more or is more enjoyable, so we don't much care as long as one of the three is available on our days off.

We truly love motoring out on the Blig Block Bloat, but at 2 mpg, well . . .

Thats a nice boat Gimbal, always wanted a nice ski boat.

Tried to water ski a few times but never managed to get upright, boat just kept dragging me through the water head first, ended up haveing to resort to the kneeboard instead.

Sure, but you save a lot on bottled drinking water that way. 20 minutes head first and you've drunk enough water to last the whole flippin' day, eh?

We don't ski much so we run a custom long pitch prop designed for cruise performance. It'll still pull a fat boy out of the water, just not as quick.

Would be back into saltwater fishing both inshore and offshore. Tuna when the season arrives. As expensive as these Heli's can be they are still way cheaper than owning your own boat and supporting a season of fishing.Logo Xxtreme 800

Woooo!

I love those trikes. T-Rex is one of my favorites.

But, these are things I like to own (toy). I would think a hobby would be some thing that you would consume a lot of your free time. Even if I owned a trike, I don't think I can label it as a hobby unless I was collecting them.

Example:

Fishing
motor cross
chess
Go
Golf
Sports? (baseball, basketball, etc)

I know a person who breeds pythons but it is a hobby/business as he sells them. So, I would want to see pure hobby that consumes much of your free time.

Pretend that RC was banned when seriously thinking about this.
As I stated, I would pick up Go game again. This used to consume more than 20 hours per week of my time between matches (online) and lessons.

I would love to see some exotic hobbies like pole dancing.

Back in 1999 I stopped flying and started whitewater kayaking & mtn. biking. Did this until 2008, then got the flying bug again. Now, I just fly and snowboard in the winter. Best of both worlds.
