for the record, mine is a 700N. I'm also running vbar, and it was flying pretty great to begin with. vbar is so good, it may have been correcting any bad tracking tendencies already. if nothing else it looks better IMO with the disk slammed down low. but, i'm hopeful for some unexpected 'better feeling' in the sticks.

rain predicted through the new year when the weather is bad, idle fingers start ordering random upgrades to fiddle with.
if it ain't broke, break it.

with the shorter main shaft you are putting the disc closer to the CG and should improve the way rolls and flips feel, Any time you keep the mass tight and close to the center of the heli things should move faster and feel crisperRIP Roman JR

ok, so, if I have a T700N flybar head model that I converted to an Electric with an after-market kit, what other parts would I need to use:

1. HN7095AA http://www.alignrcusa.com/index.php...roducts_id=1936

Do I need to get the 3G-specific main grips?

I presume I also need the swash driver arms?

Will the new, shorter main shaft fit in a T700N model, or are the bearing block distances not the same as the Align 700E factory model and would prevent the use of the shorter shaft?

I basically want to pull off my flybarred head and washout assembly and pop on a complete Align 3G newly designed main rotor housing, set some linkages and be ready to go.

Thanks for the assistance!

the shorter shaft fits 700N fine. that's what I did.

yes, you need the FL grips...the 'ears' are longer so the links are vertical from swash to grip.

you'll also want the beefier, correct length links from swash to grip (H70066)

and, the geometry changes from FB to FBL...so, make sure you have the horns with TWO sets of holes for the link balls. (HN6048A) for example...make sure you get Futaba or JR splines accordingly. there are also anodized aluminum versions. just make sure you use the inner holes. If your kit is new enough it may already have the correct horns. I just know mine did not. I had to use the ones supplied with the 3G upgrade.
if it ain't broke, break it.

just to surmise for others...

to convert to the current redesigned 3G head and shorter main shaft in a 700N/700E non-flybarless model you'll need the following part numbers:

H70066
HN7095AA
HN7096QA
HN7097QA
H70035

Servo wheels: HN6048A or equiv for brand of servo
