In the end, you birthers are just spinning your wheels on the subject and making yourselves look petty.

No court has found these claims to be substantial and every judge who has been presented with this case has seen sufficient evidence to throw the case out.

On the other hand, do you guys think you'd be so intent on pushing the issue of McCain's citizenship if he had become president? Even though he technically was not born in America, I'm still guessing that it would not be an issue.

well first off YOU brought up the color of his skin, which the Liberals often do. Con's do not do this, YOUR group does in the effort to demean or belittle anybody that dares question anything this guy does. I don't care if he was purple, I look at the content of what he's trying to do and also the shroud of secrecy in regards to just about every aspect of his life. I know what Libs attempt to do, as I have lost friends and contact with some family because I refuse to anoint this guy as the second coming and they all react the same way. Throw out the race card, call me and my friends inbred hillbilly redneck hood wearing racists and then take their ball and go home. They simply can not get past the fact (or admit it to themselves), that this guy MIGHT not be what they thought he was. A logical person would only have to look at the people he surrounds himself to see what his agenda is.
Now, McCain was born to 2 (read TWO) American citizens. Read the law as it concerns a natural born citizen.
Now, all that being said, I truly believe he's not a natural born citizen, but to be honest, though it's illegal for him to be sitting in that chair, I've said since day one that this is an item that should just be left alone as there are many things we should be more focused on. I just hope that in the future, candidates will be better vetted and I think they will be. One positive of this whole birther mess.

fla heli boy, I did not call anyone here a racist, why are the Con's so touchy about that subject? There are probably even a few liberal guys who don't like Obama because of his skin. I wish it didn't exist, but for some, their hate for Obama is driven purely by racism. Apparently, this does not apply to you (though the amount of protest and sensitivity to the issue that you show makes me wonder).

"My Group?!" What group is that, lol? You think you've got everyone pegged because of their stance on one issue? If someone leans left even a little bit then you group them up with the extreme liberal idiots that you've met? You're not even close man.

I can readily admit that Obama is doing a horrible job (fiscally) right now, and I don't agree with all of it. I also don't think that he is the source of all of this nation's problems and I don't think that ANYONE who would have been elected to this term would have done much better.

Just seems like the amount of blame being passed to Obama is disproportionate to what he is doing, but I suppose Bush had to deal with the same sort of thing when he was POTUS too. Perhaps it's just part of the job, dealing with the flack of the hatriots (as opposed to the real patriots that used to occupy this country).

OK, we can agree on a couple things here. Bush DID get too much blame (I'm no Bush lover BTW) and Obama gets too much blame as well. I put more of the blame on the House and Senate. I have a slight glimmer of hope here as it seems Obama has softened his rhetoric somewhat as he's reaching across the aisle, the same way in a lot of ways, that Clinton did. I think he'll have to move even more center after this new group gets sworn in if he wants anything to get done.
I can tell you why con's are so hypersensitive to the whole race thing.
Because everyday, we as cons, are constantly being bated with the race card and accused of being racist. On my part, I am fiscally conservative and socially left leaning. I think there are lots of people out there like me. I don't want the government in my life any more than my grandparents did in their lives. When you address things such as welfare etc., there's an underlying implication that if you dare shut off the spiggot, it's because you don't like minorities. Or if you don't like Obama, it's because you don't like blacks. I say this because I have been attacked and accused of this very thing, by friends and family that KNOW me better than that. Yet when in a discussion, the inevitable last statement I hear is "well then, you're a racist".
I for one, am just sick and tired of all of the PC crap in this country any more.
Now, are there people out there that dislike him purely because of race??? Sure there is and that will probably never change and for sure not in my lifetime. I see far more racism coming FROM minorities than the other way around.
Oh, I'm going to use the term "hatriots" from now on!!! Good term and it applies to both parties.

I'd like for you to prove to me that there is not a single person in the world who hates Obama, not for what he has done, but strictly because he's a Democrat, or because he has dark skin.
Speaking for myself, I could care less about his color.

I only care about his policies. They suck !!

Horribly !!

I know Dennis, and I don't think you guys are racists. I was just bringing up the point that, unfortunately, for some, that's the basis of their hatred for the man.CITIZEN#005 - MD Helicopters, Xpert Servos, Scorpion Power, OptiPower

See fla heli boy, we have more in common than we initially realized. I understand your sensitivity to the race card. The hard core liberals play it all too often and it makes it a blurry issue altogether.

I was no Bush fan either, but when he was POTUS I really had bigger issues with the people around him and what they were doing. Bush really just went along with what the people around him told him to do, and I think we see a lot of the same thing with Obama today.

Problem is, I don't see a way out of this messy two party system any time soon. More and more people are being pushed out to the extreme left or right when I think we need to try to head closer to the middle.

I really wish the libertarian party could get more recognition. There are some more conservative and some more liberal libertarians out there, but I like the ideas of most of them. We need to be fiscally conservative right now, and yes, socially liberal too. Stop regulating what people can do with their money and stop regulating what they can do with their lives.

The only thing our federal gov't should be able to do is prevent people without integrity from being greedy and people without dignity from being lazy. Companies should not become too big to fail and the social welfare programs need to be set up so that there are limits on what can be received and people cannot benefit from not working. Paying people not to work isn't going to help anything, but trying to pay the rich more to create jobs, hoping it will trickle down, is not going to work either.

What I've learned in life, if a simple question needs to be answered by convoluted and round about ways, then its usually a con or something just is not right.

If I had to prove my United States citzenship, it would be sooo easy. I would have hundreds of friends(close and casual) that I made without even trying throughout my school years that could verify I was here, as well as my citizenship documents and many family pictures of my childhood throughout the years in recognizable places. I mean, it really is not that hard. Unless A. you are a complete recluse(which I assume obama was not) or B. you never grew up here.
