Hi, I'm in the process of starting out with a Raptor 60 and using a 9C futaba to fly it. Does any one out there have this setup? I'd like to know more about the over all set up and if there is any extra I should know that the mannual doesn't tell you, along with help understanding the pitch curve part. I have an OS 60 in it, Ricks O ring head, carbon fiber main and tail rotor blades. Also installed a Futaba 401/9253 set up. I am just getting into this sport, only hovered a Nexus then found 60 size, that said I really enjoy the challenge. I just want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction. I belive that if the helicopter is set up right I'll have less trouble learning to pilot it. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

First thing to do in the radio - go to the Revo. Mix menu and switch the Revo to INH. It defaults in the active mode, and it will make you wonder why your 401/9253 gyro wont hold.

On the pitch servo (Futaba) I used the fourth hole out on the servo horn, about 17mm, and the Endpoints are 100%. On the 9253 tail servo, I used the third hole out and some use the fourth hole out on the servo horn. Otherwise, I have the other horns as the book states, 10.5 mm (second hole on horn). All of my endpoints are at 100% except Channel 5 which I use for gyro gain and Channel 3 (throttle) which is at 95%. You will have to find the best gyro gain setting on your own during test flights. My gyro gain is set at 55% in HH mode.

If you have any other questions, feel free to email or PM me. Or, put specific questions on here and we'll give you a hand.
