I just discovered the joy of adding a little exponential on cyclic fore/aft and left/right. What a difference it makes to smooth out forward flight and hovering !! I am flying a Raptor 30 V1 with JR XP652 radio and OS 32 engine I have about 35% set for both directions. Is this a good value to go with for the long term? Or will I need to increase or decrease? Wadda ya think? Also, had a blow out on my stock Kyosho muffler that comes with the Nexus. (Yes I have one of those too) The through bolt that squeezes the whole thing together broke while I was hovering close to me. Scared the &%^$$#@ out of me but I maintained control and landed. I recovered all the pieces and plan to repair it.

I'm not sure about your 652, but on my 8301, I set the expo to about 20% on flight mode one(hover) and in idle up I minimize it to about 10%. I thinks it's really more of a personal preference on where you run yours. Go with what you like.

I've got a nexus to and that bleedin bolt keeps loosening itself on me to, you can put a locking nut on the end and put 24 epoxy on it to keep it together, but personally i'd get shut and get a one piece job, so much easier, otherwise you end up tightening it up every flight.

I too love the expo, Gotta flick the multi part Koyosho muffler and get a one piece muffler, I run a budget $30 ,it'll make a huge difference, you may also want to try a cyclic to thr mix.
ail - thr and ele - thr it helps me keep a more constant head speed !!
