Your contributions are just stellar, in a comedic way. Nothing vile and hateful about calling any government corrupt and criminal (especially when it's true). Millions of americans feel the same way about the US government, but by your logic, their point of view is invalid due to it being vile and hateful (which it is not). You assumed it was a hateful hit on americans in general because you ASSUMED I am a canadian.
Even if I was canadian, that still would be a stretch of an assumption. You used the hate card to discredit my words, like that tactic is not transparent either. Maybe you should try to put forth substance, rather than try to discredit those you don't agree with.
Criticism is not hate.
Who gives a rip if you're Canadian...I DON'T CARE!!!

It's YOU that entered a forum with hate and vile. That is proven clearly with own insulting words.

Again, you bring nothing to this forum.

Wow, you are insulted when your government is criticized? That explains a few things. Again, there is no hate in calling any government criminal. You assumed I hated americans because you thought I am canadian. Should I pull out the quotes to prove it? Waste of time, anybody with half a brain can see right through you.

Again with the trash talk. You contribute nothing of value here. Do you do anything of value anywhere?

I'm happy to say I'm an American. I see that you NEVER say what you are...just silly little diddies about what you might be. Maybe you don't know what you are. Don't bother telling...nobody cares.

Of course, I don't label people haters when they say stuff I don't like

Funny how you seem to speak for everyone. Intelligent people understand what that means.

Isn't anyone concerned that the mainstream media is not telling us what is going on in afghanistan and Iraq? They are there, but the reality is not even close to what the media is portraying. The mainsteam media has failed us, in a big way.
Wikileaks has changed the world, and it will never be the same again. What they have done is exposed how far removed we are from reality. Our world is smoke and mirrors. Freedom of press has always been a pretty big deal in the states, so what happened to it? They don't seem very free to tell us the truth.

I don't see anything new in that. I doubt most Americans will. We already realize our media has failed us. Our own government has failed us as well.

Thats why the "main stream" media of old is no longer main stream. They have lost their rating and are slowly going for broke. Now, we have Fox News & CNN. Fox ain't perfect. But, they certainly aren't the main stream of old and don't suck up to the weirdos we have in our oval office now.

What else is new?

Media is the hub of falsehood
http://www.opinion-maker.org/2011/0...b-of-falsehood/

the government is the way it is due to it's citizens.

they are not paying attention. and don't expect them to.

for obvious reasons.

So the two entities who are supposed to protect our rights and freedoms have failed us, and we all know it. Why are so many defending the government in this thread? Do you enjoy taking it up the a$$?

Americans stick out like sore thumbs...clothes, language, and mannerisms. Plus if you are a native Texan or you've been here long, you sound funny to everybody else (I know by experience).

If you're a Texan, you ain't got no chance of concealing yourself.

A bunch of us Texans went to England to watch our sons play soccer a few years ago. A polite Brit was assigned to look after us. After two weeks we had poluted his speech. He actually used the word "fixin" and became upset when he realized what he had said.

Speaking for myself, I would not defend our government the way it is and has been for the last 10 years or so.

I certainly would not defend our government the way it has been the last 2 years. In fact, I would fight against it. The information about them is easy to find along with a bit of history and common sense. It ain't all that hard to find. And, the information about the dangers of our present leaders was in our media before they were voted in.

I don't think our media let us down to the point of actually putting us down. We let "ourselves" down by voting in the dirt bags we have now.

And, still do by voting some of them back in. The 2010 elections were historic in that they cleaned house. But, I am afraid it may not be enough without the Tea Party to keep them in line.

We will see what happens when they get into the most lucrative and corrupt system in the world in DC. They may get sucked into that world. Only time will tell.

Being part of the solution as a citizen can't hurt either.

I hear a lot of platitudes about what Wikileaks means and what it changes but I don't see much evidence that it is the left wing wet dream it was initially made out to be. In fact it seems to have backfired on them. Your last post sounds like Assange's initial claim but not the reality of what was in the documents. Where has it "exposed how far removed we are from reality"? And don't give us your hopes and dreams of what it says, what does it actually say? It was claimed that these leaks would expose American hypocrisy and underhanded behavior. You blindly repeat that claim. But what is the reality? It seems to show the hypocrisy and backstabbing behavior of other nations towards us. It was just assumed that all those documents must reveal us to be the great satan that they just know we must be. But nobody, including Assange, seemed to bother searching all those docs for any evidence of that before making such claims. He seemed to farm that job out to the Guardian and NYTimes.

I can assure you that this is not correct, except for maybe a very small percentage of simple minded people, the large majority, including myself can differentiate between political discussion and what they think of people themselves.
Every American I have met, either here or in Germany, has been a pleasant and positive experience.
Just because we have difference of opinions.
Here are political discussion and you yourself would have noticed that it is just a very few who have these extreme views.
Sure they pronounce them quite loudly and often, but it's always the same names showing up, of which there are very few of.

I think its actually the progressive left in our own country and what ever more of them are outside the USA that do not like the USA as it is.

When it comes to the hard progressive left, they are actually only 20% of the whole here in the US. The rest are just plain old Dems, Repubs and Ind.

Not sure what the percentage of hard left is in the rest of the world. But, I'll bet its not far from that 20% we have here.

The ones that truly hate the USA and all that it stands for, we are at war with.
