You can hardly bog a good 55 pipe combo... Ive owned an OS70 sized TREX 600 and helped setup a TREX 600 with a YS91 in it. I know exactly what they can do and I know that both are tanks and if you were getting 7mins on a 70 then the person was barely flying. Hell on a 55 I can burn through a tank in 6 mins of I'm on it really hard.

At what RPM are you running when you can't bog that 55?
And what RPM's were you running with the 70 and 91 setup you refer to? I actually aim to bog the 91...and then I'll back id down a tad.

And as far as weight...so far it's looking like it will be same as my 600 electric.

Did you post some info on that? I must have missed it. I'd like to see.

In any case, there is no way it will be a waste of time anyway. I have already enjoyed the project more than enough.

Is it spring yet?

You guys are all funny...

Well Bob continue on and let us know how your conversion goes. I'm sure it will be fun. I had so much fun that I sold my own 70 conversion(You'll need 620mm blades to make up for the extra weight and hopefully you didn't screw up the clutch and fan during the modification because it will vibrate like crazy) and my friend is about to put a 55Hz in his because he is tired of his YS (decent power but no flight time).

Lon well you keep doing your thing and suggesting stuff to people like Bob. You'll make places like RH rich.

And I was looking around...RR to see comments on your BB conversion. All I found was your one claim, a bunch of videos that no longer exist, and very good pilots telling you that the engine sounds funny and that it doesn't look too powerful... i think has more to do with pilot than power. You also mention filing pinion teeth and stuff to fit...

Here is a 55Hz in action.

Was searching YT for a good BB vid. I didnt see one...clarification I saw one but the power demands didn't look anywhere like what Bert put on that 600N I just posted.

But here is another suggestion try a turbo. Its got to work too because this guy tried it and Im sure he says its good too

It even has a gangsta free farless mod on it too. Youll get even more power going that route.

Now imagine one of those monster truck announcers talking....

Add a turbo and no stabilization flybarless; you'll add at least 3Hp to your current setup!!!

Have to agree with you Eco. A big bore heli may not fly as well due to excess vibration and weight. 620mm blades will help with the weight.

The setup we run is pretty much on par with what you see on Berts heli in the video. Hell he flys locally...we have this unique advantage of having great weather here in Florida and in my case pretty decent local pilots that know what's up.

Regardless the HS is about 2200.

Ive flown the OS55 and I know for a fact the OS 55 DOESN"T come close to the OS 70 in the 600 and the YS91,well OK.Ive had tons of videos I posted and took down so whats your point and BTW,ONE person (M.F) said anything neg about a big block 600.Did you notice all the other replys about it or did you read one thread .Do what you want with your hobby and have a little respect for others before telling someone "its a waste of time" ,down the guy more next time. Also, anyone thats flown a OS 55 KNOWS you can bog it .They also have the same junk bearings just like I said in that thread also..Sorry you have no clue on setting up a OS70/YS91 in a 600N because it clearly shows in your post.I like how you post a video of BK which everyone knows he can fly a hotdog and not bog it .Sorry but tell someone thats never flown them. What gearing did you use in both motors and how did you install everything because you clearly didn't do what works the best?
You also mention filing pinion teeth and stuff to fit...
Thats shows you didn't because you have to file off a little on the pinion so the mesh is right.Just shows you didn't do it the way I know so im sure your gearing wasn't right.Like I said, your poor setup left you with a bad experience. The post you pulled the BK video from where you bretty much used M.F words, the motor was rich and pinion wasn't right. When you reply,I can't see ya .

I was starting to think we wouldn't get to 100 pages for a minute there.

Maybe after Bob is done with his build, he can give us all the details.

Man here look.

Its you flying. Flying = pretty decent...Engine = tuned like POOP. Even an OS Hyper 50 should sound more consistent and heck even higher rev'ed than this. Your 50 should drink gas and should kill tanks in about 6 mins if its setup for max power. Note no where did I mention what it will do to your bearings but you got to pay to play in this hobby.

Watch at YouTube

Right there I can see why you hate 50's, I wouldnt fly your heli for more than 2 mins before I handed that Tx back saying "yeah it flys ok." Man if you were down here I could set you up to try a 50 that is actually setup correctly and you'll see.

And just for reference Im going to pull up an OS70 TREX 600 flown by a pro level pilot and post it just so Bob can see whats actually up. I could not find anything worth of showing on YT.

Dude you just completely ruined your entire credibility... First off you had a YS50 in there...that is the opposite of power. That engine sucks donkey and you know it. They Hyper 55 owns it all day, what about Bert's vid didn't you like or believe. That thing has nuts all day all night even with rusty bearings

The only thing I'm amazed at is that your an Elite Veteran and that I'm a Key Veteran. That clearly means you out rank me in RR world...so Ill stop now.
