I think you will see more purpose built high voltage helis in the future.

A ) Much better performance.
B) Allows dual use with smaller heli.
C ) It just makes sense.

Hey Lon, the nitro vid was cool but your Protos 500 vids are by far the most exciting ! Very quick and intense-- only one mans opinion, thats all.

I have not owned a 550 t-Rex I did fly a few last fall however. I feel it was a better 6s fit then the 600 Rex for sure but It didn't make me feel like I was gonna go dump Logos for one that's for sure. Entirely different machines in so many ways.

I meant strictly on performance and feel Lon. Has nothing to do with rep, I actually own many non Mikado machines so that I can comment and have the experience with other machines to qualify. And I like to tinker.

I have to go with Shawn on that one. I'd put my bet on the Logo 600 spanking the T550.
I honestly haven't flown a T550 though...but I HAVE flown a T500 with 550's on it. :P

550 is a 30 sized 6s machine.

600 is a 50 sized 10 machine.

2 different heli's.

10s will always give more cowbell.

Can you run a 10-12 cell setup on the 550?
you could but the point for me was to run a simple 6s setup with as much cowbell as i could get.

and i got it.

with the 10s frames a guy made on hfreak i'd consider going 10s.

the trick is they are expensive and made by a one man operation.

would want to buy several frame sets to do it so i knew i could get spares.

wouldn't want to run 10s with current frame configuration.

if someone copies them and makes them easily available i'd look hard at considering 10s with 600 blades.

the 550 rocks with a vbar and a good motor. it is an impressive machine and i've had a few over the years.

Pretty sure u could use protos packs 12s series with around a 630kv motor. Ie: Scorpion 4025-630 or such.

logo 500 would be the match.

don't know about the 'spanking' part.

same setup.

different flavors.

i'd consider a logo but at retail prices and having to order everything, i'll keep the 550.

you got me.

i'm at 2111.5 grams.

i'm 8 grams heavier.

with the stock landing gear it would go up more. the vibe 50 gear saves me a lot of weight.

you're more ballistic.

i am running 2mm cf frames which are thicker than stock but they rarely break in a crash.
