I'm thinking about getting a LG 600 SE with 5.0 and 693mm on 5000 12S to see what kind of flight time I can get. I'd be thrilled to get 6 full mins of hard stick banging @ 1900 HS, but we'll see...
And here's what that would look like.

12 cells
5000 mah
80% pack usage
6 Duartion min
85% eff

45.6 v
228 Whr
2280 Watts Ave Bat Consumption
1938 Watts Ave at motor shaft
2.6 HP Ave at motor shaft

Not sure how magnets relate to eff. Key variables seem to be, ESC FET switching time and rate of switching, motor winding resistance, and motor core hysteresis. I'm just using the highest value that I saw on a graph....which was 85%.Team POP Secret

"Then I was shown evidence that started convincing me otherwise....depends on definition of 3D...which becomes style...which is open to individual judgement."
I'd certainly agree on that ... depend on the defination of 3D , Throttle/pitch curve setting and so on ..... to attain certain degree of 3D. But I see it as sports
BTW, anyone tried flybarless. They are fantastic, the wind dont effect them, they basically fly on rails .
welcome to the dark side =)

I used to have a flybar,, but they would always get so drunk then buzz around and puke, so I did away with it.When u don't feel like soaring through the air with a plane, beat it into submission w/ a heli!

lol, yea 2 of my frequent flying mate gone flybarless and they love it, converting all their others to fbl. I'm looking to convert mine, lol.
One is an electric flyer, the other a nitro. We have been flying together for quite awhile now, both has their pros and cons. I've got 3 nitros but no electric anymore, will be looking for an electric, a 550E or 500 size and got to be FBL, lol.

Your probably not talking to me, rather to SuperCoolHeli, but I'll answer anyway for myself. I flew glow helis for 10 years before I flew E's. I've had several .30's, one .40, several .50's,
several .60's, a couple of .80's, and several .90's...lots of experience with nitro's. But electrics, esp. big electrics RULE!

I have never had nitro (flown but never owned) helicopters, but i don't need to have had in order to say that 700 sized electrics are awesome

Electric is cleaner and cooks at around 4 minutes, but open combustion can cook up to 8 minutes and has a bunch of smokeHigh Voltage just works better
