Bob, if your going to say this Szabo flight is somehow slower and less impressive than the 90E vid you posted, everyone on here will think you've gone crazy, that you've been breathing too many glow fuel fumes again, and you will lose all credibility!!!

man he can still fly like he did back in the day, too bad the video was soo short I could have watched for another 4 min

anybody else hear the power dropping at the 1 min mark and the 2 min and then the 3rd min I was starting to worry how puffy that lipo was getting.

would have been way way cooler if it were a nitro. seeing a full circle as he made those 80 mph passes.

but I would rather have 5.5 mins of sheer excitement and adrenaline rush
So, why did you post videos with 3:50 and 3:20 flight times? At 5.5 min flight time, that's where the power of e is getting wimpy. Unless you deceive by flying really hard bursts every now and again and then "conserve" in between. This is what looses my attention and gives impression that it's not really a lot of power there.

No, I was not talking about 1/2 tank. I was talking about putting more powerful engine in there.

Several electric vids longer but then they're defined to nitro power. ...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Rog, do you realize that you just compared a 2 year old flybarred Nitro heli to a FBL electric one that was made this year.

Main difference in how fast the maneuvers were executed was the lack of flybar. Other than that, the e one had more "graceful" coasting between tighter, faster moves. And, less duration to boot. And more maneuvers done with the Nitro. It's about making a spectacle and putting on a show. Nitro is the killer.

Again, if electrics are so great, why can't they duplicate the AZ vid I posted the challenge on? I'm talking hammer that thing, balls to the wall, for 8 minutes straight! Then I'm impressed. I am NOT looking for, oh, it does not need to do that or it isn't as much peak power. I am looking for a challenge to be met. And, it hasn't.

Seems like a silly challenge as you know it won't be met to your standard.

Its like asking you to give me a nitro video as poppy as an electric, ain't gonna happen.

Fly whatever you like.

Just my observations, i drive to club, plug in 1 lipo and fly, charge and repeat, all day long.
Almost all flying nitro are constantly fiddling with this or that.

I'm not sure why you say that, do you have any experience on 700E's to back that up? 5.5 mins is my max flight time, but it has more overall power throughout the flight than my buddies TR700N with YS 91 3D in it. He flies about 7.5 mins though. I have this real world experience...
Yes, a 90n flies longer, for now, I've admited that all along, but it does not have as much power while the E is flying.

Bob competition flights are 4 minutes or under always. 8 minutes would bore to tears pros run out of excitement after 4-5 anyhow I'm sure all is mortals can't go past fast and constantly different for more then 3-3.5. If I want to float around and learn I can gear an electric for 20-30 minutes no problem. If the extra time is needed to learn I can do that by pinion change something you cant do with nitro in minutes or if using a jive esc I can do it all, one heli same setup just lower headspeed constant and smooth and reliable.

Anyone learning and needing long times can certainly do that on electric in fact much longer in reality.

Total flight time in air at a FF I can almost double nitro guys flight time due to hassle free flying etc...

Now we are going backwards this has all been hashed out
