Hey Jeff,

With all this nasty wet weather we've been having, let's hope it's all past us by then...and not gone and another system comes in. Cold we can take. But rain...

rain rain GO AWAY!!!!!
Yea Dave I hear you this weather is crazy I hope it stops, even if it does its going to be wet out there, But there's a lot of gravel on the ground so hopefuly mud wont be a problem. If we are lucky it will be clear and all the background pictures will have the mountains covered with snow in them.

And bring the ez-ups if there is some precip.Hardcore as it seems its not bad as long as your Tx isnt getting wet.
Get some of the brown jersey gloves that fit tight.Break them in and they work real good to fly with.

Well hope everybody is have a merry christmas, we are getting closer we went and got the fire wood for the warming fires yesterday. You are welcome to bring wood and a fire pit we just need to clean up any mess afterwards. Propane heaters work well also.

Yea, the long range this morning had the possibility of rain deleted...just partly cloudy and around 50 degrees for the high. Typical valley weather (-:

Food and Tables
The gentlemen that provided our food last year, and we hoped would do so again this year, is not going to be able to be with us. Jeff and John have been trying to replace him over the last couple of weeks but everyone is either booked well in advance for New Years weekend or is taking the holiday off themselves.

Saturday evening we will take up a collection for pizza. Otherwise, there is a McDonalds in sight of the field and there are any number of fast food and “sit down” family style restaurants in Tulare, a relatively few minuets drive from the field. And, of course, you could always just bring something with you. It’s just that, unfortunately, we regret that we will not be able to provide the good food “on site” like we have had the last two years and everyone needs to come prepared for that.

One other item we are lacking is tables. We only have one table for the entire field. So, if you want a table please bring one with you.

Hey, no problem. I can personally vouch for the McDonald's close to the field. Really good food

There's a Subway, and a new truck stop type "Travel Center" for all your other goodie needs, located there as well.

Been checking the weather closely, and as we get closer, it looks like the rain will end by Wed. evening, and a nice window of sunny skies for Thu. and Fri., and partly cloudy skies (it says more sun than clouds in the forecast) on Sat. Sunday looks bad though at this point, as more rain moves in.

I'll take two days of clear skies for flyin' in the middle of winter (-:

Hope to see all ya there!

RV Dump Stations
There are two free public dump stations near by for anyone with an RV that will be looking for a place to dump after the event. For those south bound down CA 99, the first rest area (184 rest stop on the east side of the highway) has a free public dump station. For those north bound up CA 99, I have been told that if you take the Cartmill exit and head west to the intersection of Cartmill and M St, the gas station on the left (Stanley’s Shell?) also has a free public dump station.
