Hi Guys,

So I have a full size Vbar on my Trex 600 nitro machine and it is really working well. Just wondering what other are doing to keep the sensor plugged into the control box. I'm using a small strip of duct tape from the plug to the control box. It has been working fine for several flights or so but when people ask to see the Vbar and they see it held together with duct tape well lets just say I get a lot of questions.

I watched the video from MrMel where he talks about using hot glue. Just wondering what other are using.

thanks
allen

I use dental floss. I wrap it around the entire receiver box two times, threading it through the spaces between the three wires.

super small dab of 5 min epoxy on the gyro lead into unit, a small thin bead of hot glue on top of others only all as precaution more then anything.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Hot melt glue. Holds strong and you can take it off without damaging the wires or V-Bar unit.

I use low temp hot glue on all the leads. Cheap insurance and it cleans off easy, epoxy is a bear to clean off the unit without sanding.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

I shrink wrap another servo connector to the vbar sensor connector.

First I remove the pins from the second connector and cut the wires off flush with the crimped terminal, re-install the terminals and shrink wrap the connectors together. Holds well and I don't need to use hot glue, tape etc.

Just another crappy day in Paradise....Aloha!

It is 3M indoor tape, or something like that but i know that it is 3M stuff. It works great.

I personally use shoe goo on my connector, like other people hav stated, its holds great and is easy to pull off if needed.
