Hi guys,

Know what my dad's doing right now? Setting up the raptor right in the backyard. Also he had a hot start 2 minutes ago. He says he can do it. I said bring it to a darn field and ask for help. I said ask for help because the head is actually tilting when he is pitching up. LOL So should he get that safety award?

Better go get another clutch. Those Raptor clutches don't tolerate hot starts too well. Besides, isn't it dark there now? Kinda hard to be setting up a heli in the dark.

I think you need to buy some more helicopters and post more, that actually makes you a better pilot without flying.

hmm, sounds like the heli isn't close to be setting up right. Shouldn't have hot starts if the throttle is setup correctly.

There's a few heli shops in Vancouver. Paying them once to help setup your heli will end up saving money and frustration.

With all the advice you have given on RunRyder you should surely be able to to a simple thing like set the throttle, level the swash, ensure the swash is moving in the right direction, ATV's are set, pitch curve is set and tail/gyro is moving correctly... This all should be done long BEFORE you ever think about putting fuel in it..

So, how about giving daddy some advice as you have done on here......

I had a Smart-a$$ remark to that, but decided, better just to leave it alone.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

you'd think that after 1144 posts of various levels of expertise, the kid would know enough to help dad out.
