Had a 3500g that all a sudden started wagging. Tail gain was at 60 on a rave 450 with a total g. I just figured the servo went bad because I've had around 20 flights with the 3500g on the total g with no issues. Plus I've been running this servo for alittle over a year. Castle ice bec set to 5.1v

I replaced the 3500g with a bls257 and in the total g it will only work when I select standard digital servo or 8900g. If I try to select bls251 or any other it willn't work. The servo is acting like it's not getting a signal. So my question is should I just run standard digital servo when using the futaba bls257?

Also the system speed I have set to very fast because I'm running cf tail blade. Should this be set to fast?

Thanks for your help Jeremy

The bls257 is a standard frame rate servo. It will not work on the high frame rate setting intended for the bls251 and similar servos (9256, 9251, etc.).

Thanks for the reply. I will keep it at standard digital servo and my system speed at very fast. Hopefully I'll get a test flight in tomorrow.

Ok after testing and replacing parts for 2 hours I found the problem. If you ever replace a slider make sure you size the links that go to the blade grips...I really wanted to point the finger at the total g (setting) but it was a stupid mistake on my part. So if you have a wag check everything over before going out and buying a new servo. I guess I got a better servo out of the whole wagging thing after all that the old lady doesn't know about....
