Alright guys, I am posting this here cause I need a response quick. I am flying a stratus and the align 2 in 1 went out. Will a 4 cell 2700mah nimh pack work with this equip???

Hi Steve,

Simple answer NO.

The x3 610's alone are enough to cause on brownout (low voltage reset),on a 4.8v pack. Might work on a 5 cell pack, though still risky.
I had a brownout on my stratus, 30 secs into its maiden. 4cell 4500mah nimi pack, and you guessed it. 3x 610's.

This servo can produce high-current draw from your batteries.
If using NiMH or LiPo batteries, make sure they are capable of delivering sufficient amps.

the 2700's are lousy in the first place and dont like high current draw.

they are basically a crash waiting to happen.

Those batts are not known for their current discharge curve....

They will fail on you in short order....

Will a 4 cell 2700mah nimh pack work with this equip???
I've been using one in my 600 for over a year now, it will work. Problem is every flight takes out about 800-900 mah. 2 flights and it's back on the charger. I learned the hard way any more than 2 flights on the pack really shortens the life of the rotary machine! The pack I use is made by JR and it's the only product I like that JR makes.

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

that much drain per flight is unusually high.

couple that w/ bad current pulse delivery, delicate charging requirements and that you're not going to get more than 65% out of the rating, it's a loser.

Forgot to mention it also has a switch-glo on it and flights average 13-14 min(yes it's possible running 15%)
