OK, I admit, I am not the most computer savy guy in the world. I am considering getting a "netbook" (small laptop) to take the flying field with me for Total G tuning. Many that I have looked at have Windows 7 Starter as the operating system. The word "Starter" is throwing me for a loop. Is that a sufficient and compatible operating system to run the Total G interface on? Thanks in advance for your help.

Get the Gview 2. It dose more than the software dose right now. And it is only 55 bucks and easy to use and you don't need to wait for it to load from the Total G.

Windows starter is enough, it has no limitations that will interfere.

I used a netbook to set to setup mine at first , now I just use the gview2 works great for the field. You only need a computer to do updatea later on if needed

OK now I feel really stupid. I completely forgot about the Gview2. LOL! That'll work way better. Thanks friends, I do appreciate it.

The Gview 2 can get to the "secret menus". The normal interface dose not have these set ups displayed unless you go and switch your view to Gview in the interface. People that have run the CYE gyros and ATG before know what these are. There are settings to adjust everything in the gov mode for example, you can tune the lowest point you would want the governed to go when active and not let the carbon be fully shut when in over speed conditions. You can cheat this by you low throttle position, but why when you van adjust it?

The tail gyro has may more options than the standard interface. Have a look. Hook op to your total g and switch to gview. If you change something it will be changed in the total g. There is even an auto kaos feature. It is disabled, but someone was working on it.

The Gview is nice at the field, no waiting for it to connect or boot up. And for 55 bucks it is a whole lot cheaper then a mini notebook.
