I received my batts today and notice the wires are much larger then whats on my ESC. The batteries have 10-AWG wire.

1) The EC-5 connectors will not fit into the battery connectors, they are larger then the connector on the battery.

2) The wires on the Align RCE-BL70G ESC are smaller then the insides of the EC-5 connectors so I would have to use a load of solder to fill in the gap.

SO since I'm looking at a bunch of mis-match items here because of people telling me what I need this is really starting to piss me off!.
NOW I HAVE TO ORDER MORE CHIT!!!

Seems there are no solid facts out there just a bunch of opinions that are just that OPINIONS! Why can't someone say what I need, what I need to order based on what I have!. IS THAT SO HARD TO DO? Even some tech support personnel are telling me this and that and again just opinions!

I guess I should of stayed with GLOW and done away with all this electric CRAP!.

Sorry for my attitude here but I'm tired of spending all this money on electrical items and then come to find out I need more stuff to replace the things they told me would work!. THIS IS BS.

This hobby sure ain't what it use to be, now it seems it's just all about MONEY and who can make the most of it instead of actually trying to get people going in the right direction.

At least with GLOW you don't have to worry about it, I could of been flying by now!!!

ANYONE WANT A BRAND NEW TREX 550E ????????????????????

Electric is hard as you have seen, but I don't think its harder than glow, just different. You will get many opinions about any item of a hobby. I find glow far more difficult
In answer to one of your concerns, you don't have to fill the entire solder cup in the connector. You just need to make a good solder joint.

I got it straightened out. I put the EC-5's on the batts and the ESC, got it all set up and programed.

Man what a nightmare trying to deal with some people though. Seems a lot of the folks are just keyboard jockeys LOL

Thanks for the help Mark and to those who actually knew what they were talking about (you know who you are)

peace out
