Which spektrum RX for .30 size nitro heli
I was using a Hitec FM RX, replacing my radio w/a DX7, what RX would you use and why?

The heli is a Century Hawk w/os37 engine. The frames are part plastic part aluminum.

The FM RX had a long antenna whire that ran through an antenna protector that was attached to the skids.

Will the 6xxx series work? Do I need a 7xxx series?

Thanks

AR7000. Look no further.

While the AR6200 (full-range 6-channel) would work, 6 channels is the MINIMUM you need for a helicopter. A 7th channel will give you the option of a throttle governor sometime in the future, whether it be on this helicopter or a different helicopter down the road.

Don't bother with the AR6200. Choosing the 6200 over the 7000 will only save you $20, so whats the point, really?

+1, get a 7000. The extra channel will come in handy if/when you want to add a channel. You'll be kicking yourself if you get to the point where you want a gov and need another RX to make it work.
