I have a Align T-rex 700E with stock 700M motor and a Jive 80HV with heat sink installed. The heli is setup with 12 deg top and bottom. I am using brand new Thunder Power 2 x 6s 5000 45c packs.

The problem I have having is every flight about about 1-2 mins it to the flight the motor shuts down. So I auto down and the Jive error light is flashing 8 times. So from what I can find it is over amping the system? I have seen a lot of people using this system and they seem to work, anyone have an idea of what I am missing?

Thanks for the help in advance.

they will tell you to change the connecters on the motor side

I had this same problem with a jive 100lv over and over, tried a pyro motor and still had the same problem it does it just hovering around or without blades installed

sent in the esc to kontronik and they upgraded the it to version 9 gave it a clean bill of health and it still does it, a little pissed here I hope you have better luck than I did

Have you remember to program Mode 10? Its a MUST with 700M motor, else you det 8 blink shutdown as the timing gets screwed and it sucks insane amount of current for a short while

Always mode 10 last ontop on any other programming

Well both of my Jive 80HV's are freash from Kontronic's to be looked at and also upgraded to Version 9. I guess I can change the motor connectors. I just have been flying converted 700 for years and never had a bad motor connector. In fact I have never had a problem with motor connectors in all my electric convertions including my 35% electric extra that is running 4 6s packs and pulls 210 amps.

Mel,
Yes I programed Mode 1, then mode 4, then mode 10 and when I plug in the esc to the packs I get the spec beep song also so I am pretty sure it is in Mode 10

Sometimes there is a difference between 4mm connectors if different make, i use bullets from same make (replacing).

Its just one connector that is bad, next time you fly, directly after landing, feel the motor connectors, a bad one will be warm/hot.

Bad motor is another option of course, seen many 700M fail

I should add, the better battery you have, the more likely it is for a overcurrent sitation, so were a setup work on one machine and not another could be the difference in packs internal resistance.

I.e. Your TP45C wont help in this case.

Well here is what I did. Pulled the Stock 700M motor installed a Kontroinc Pyro reprogramed the Jive in mode 4 and 4 flights no problems at all. So I am not sure if it is the connectors on the stock motor or the motor itself but either way that motor and connectors didn't work

Thanks for all the help and ideas to try.
